GOP front-runner Donald Trump seems to be gearing up for the general election, and on Wednesday he gave a speech about his “America first” policy when it comes to international affairs, according to the BBC.

Using his typical hyperbole, Trump called President Barack Obama’s approach “a complete and total disaster.” Instead of shooting from the hip, Trump relied instead on a teleprompter.

“We will no longer surrender this country or its people to the false song of globalism,” Trump said about trade agreements, which he said “tie us up and bring America down.

In the course of his speech, Trump mispronounced the name of the East African nation of Tanzania. Critics, including Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, didn’t buy his propositions and took to Twitter to mock him.

The New York Daily News, which has been consistently merciless to Trump, joined in on chiding him for incorrectly putting the stress on the second syllable in “Tanzania.”

Trump was also roundly criticized for what critics were calling “isolationism."
The Republic is lost.
