The girl who likes primates made me think of this (awesome) foreign song:

How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

I think the underlying pretext here is: BITE ME!

Standard, but they did some fine job on it.

By Stephen Foster, brilliantly done by Sam Cooke, the song may have lost its luster some if we associate with the old sitcom, it's a truly great song.

A-Ha's "Take On Me" in Korean - originally for a cell phone ad (The TAKE phone)

I think Seo In-Guk did a pretty good job of it though. The girl was the star of a drama called "Playful Kiss" or Mischievous Kiss.. or whatever translation

HAHAHA!!!  The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has finally shown Babymetal on a major US network.

The first time you watch them... you are simply stunned - thinking "WTF did I just watch?!?"

Some of their earlier works:

So - I tell you - I love anime, but this music is hard to enjoy for me.

Dear, I fear you're facing a problem
you love me no longer, I know
and maybe there is nothing that I can do
to make you do

Melania tells me I shouldn't bother
that I ought to stick to another voter
a voter that surely deserves me
but I think you do!

So I cry, I pray and I beg

Love me love me
say that you love me
fool me fool me
go on and fool me
love me love me
pretend that you love me
leave me leave me
just say that you need me
so i cry and i beg for you too

Love me love me
say that you love me
call me short fingers
just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but ME!...

Lately I have desperately pondered,
spent my nights awake and I tweeted
what I could have done in another way
to make you stay
Reason will not lead to solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don't care if you really care
as long as you don't go

It's heavy metal and J-pop mixed in a blender.

And that's a massive "WTF did I just watch?!?" moment.

Cool. I like music threads. How does it go around here? Is there a theme or we just putting up stuff; personal favorites and the like?

It's first come first serve.  If the day doesn't have a thread created, one just creates it with a title like the rest.  Add the video you'd like and others will come on to add their own.

It is pretty much laisser faire here.  You can post in the Daily Threads anything you wish as you see here.  We usually start a new thread every day to keep the load time down and to give it a reference date.  Like Today would be:  28 April 2016 - Music Thread.  Or start your own thread with a theme as I have done several times.

Co-written by Neil Sedaka, I'm sure he's not Japanese but that name  almost sounds it; big hit for Connie Francis, great singer but here is a rendition in what I thought was in Japan.

Whoa. The pronunciation is perfect and even sounds like the way people sung in the 50's,60's and such.

Awesome. Now that I've figured out how to embed video and in the spirit of your post I offer you this classical gem of bubble gum electronic pop:

And when I saw them on Stephen Colbert a few weeks back that was the exact reaction I had! WTF IS THAT??? But I enjoyed it.
