I am from Wisconsin. I saw it firsthand with family, relatives, friends. I saw it in the local media. It was the quintessential face-off between Left and Right. The man never flinched or blinked. Same with the recall election.

We can't forget or deny how extraordinary it was.

I changed my vote to support Trump if he's the nominee. Frankly I'm tired of the whole Cruz vs. Trump thing.

I still support Cruz over Trump but the level of vitriol aimed at members of the same side is self-destructive IMO.

That being said, Cruz is still the best candidate and I hope he wins in June. But if he doesn't I'll go with Trump.

I refused to vote for Romney in 2012, leaving the top spot blank and voting for Conservatives down ticket. I remember all the GOP types telling me not voting for Romney was a vote for Obama blah blah blah...

This year Trump makes Romney look like a true Conservative and many folks whom I used to think were fellow Conservatives are telling that by not voting for Trump I am voting for Hilliary blah blah blah....

It seems that the political process has devolved into nothing more than two groups rooting for their favorite team and winning is far more satisfying than having core immutable Conservative beliefs.

I'll always complain about a liberal.

That being said, I have no illusions that who ever is elected President is going to make much difference. The reason the country is in the shape its in is in my view not because of the political leaders that have been elected but because as a culture we have lost our moral foundation. When I grew up people did the right thing day in and day out with no recognition or reward because the values of hard work and self reliance had been ingrained in them since birth.

Today it seems that the attitude is that if I vote for my team every four years and we win and everything will be better. That philosophy  has not worked out very well, change can only happen from the bottom up. Conservatives who think the top of the ticket is going to make any meaningful change to the culture are just as deluded as libs who think the government giving them free stuff well make their lives better.
