Donald Trump is beating Ted Cruz among Republican voters in two upcoming primary states — taking the Texas senator by eight points in Indiana and crushing him by 27 in California, according to polls by Fox News.

By contrast, Hillary Clinton is barely winning against Bernie Sanders in both states.

Here are the results of surveys released Friday by the cable news network:

Republicans

California:

    Trump: 49 percent.
    Cruz: 22 percent.
    John Kasich: 20 percent.

Indiana:

    Trump: 41 percent.
    Cruz: 33 percent.
    Kasich: 16 percent.

Democrats

California:

    Clinton: 48 percent.
    Sanders: 46 percent.

Indiana:

    Clinton: 46 percent.
    Sanders: 42 percent.

Fox News polled voters from both parties between Monday and Thursday.

For the GOP survey, the California sample involved 583 likely Republican voters, while the Hoosier State's totaled 602 voters.

For Democrats, Fox queried 623 voters in the Golden State, while polling 603 in Indiana.

The margin of error is 4 percent on all the surveys, Fox reports.

Indiana, whose primary is held on May 3, carries 57 GOP delegates and 83 Democratic ones.

The California primary will be one of the last held during the 2016 season — on June 7 — involving 172 Republican delegates and 475 for Democrats.
