Man’s Lawsuit AWESOMELY Challenges GAY MARRIAGE- Liberals Are Smoking Out The Ears!

One of Rush Limbaugh’s favorite rhetorical tactics has long been to illustrate absurdity by being absurd. That tactic usually finds a good deal of purchase when it comes to applying absurdity to the Left; turning today’s absurdity into tomorrow’s status quo is the Left’s stock in trade.
At one time gay marriage was considered an absurdity. If you hold to that view now you’re a bigot and a homophobe. But one argument made against gay marriage is that if you blow open the definition of marriage to expand beyond a husband and wife, where does it stop?
We might be about to find out thanks to one enterprising lawyer who showed up in court in Houston…

Ever since the Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage[2] was a right protected under the Constitution, there have been a number of lawsuits and attempts to push back this ruling.
The Houston Chronicle[3] reported that Chris Sevier, a Tennessee lawyer, has sued the Harris County District Clerk, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in federal court in Houston, claiming that his right to marry has been violated.
Sevier wasn’t trying to marry another person, however. He was attempting to marry his laptop, and has argued that the 14th Amendment is “proof” that he should be allowed to do so.
Sevier has attempted to counter the Supreme Court’s ruling that the 14th Amendment extends to same-sex couples [4]by saying that if it extends to them, it should extend to other bizarre applications just as well.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has tried to get the lawsuit thrown out, stating that it had no basis in reality.
“The right to marry one’s computer is not an interest, objectively, deeply rooted in the nation’s history and tradition such that it qualifies as a protected interest,” Paxton’s brief explained.
All true – and yet it wasn’t long ago that the same arguments were being made against gay marriage.
When you blow open 5,000 years of civilization and bring in an anything-goes legal regime, all of a sudden these arguments aren’t so absurd anymore.
