Hmmm....was just telling my son yesterday, that Buck Showalter is the 1st Orioles manager that could make you not 'think' of Earl Weaver.

He's 45 and he agreed.

Earl was a Pip.

Being a Cubs fan I never got to see the O's at Wriggley.   But Back in 69, (the year which is never spoken of.. )  I kind of knew what was up because that was the year the AL split into two divisions, the Orioles won the first-ever American League East Title.

New York is another state like Illinois were Cooke County out votes the entire rest of the state.  NY City overwhelms the rest of the state.

Registered Republicans in New York are outnumbered by Democrats in. 2 to 1 fashion.  In New York City, that is 10 to 1 in favor of Democrats.

At no point can anyone say New York is GOP state.

Not too different from Colorado.  Denver and Boulder solid Democrat.  The rest of the state not so much.

I don't know. CO has a Libertarian streak. NY is a full out welfare state.

I lived there way too long.  It went from red to blue, almost wholly because of Denver and Boulder.  Red has come back a tad but those two liberal cities will control the elections there for the most part.

When we all sit on the front porch here reminiscing about this Donald Trump Phenomenon I hope all of us are laughing.

Actually, the funniest line of the night came from Kasich.  He was not dressed in the requisite "black tie".  The reason he gave was:  "I didn't go back and get my tuxedo because I was afraid Ted would tell people I left the race".

That is funny.
