Klein: Comey And ‘A Lot Of Other FBI Agents’ Will Resign If Hillary Is Not Indicted [VIDEO]

Clinton author Ed Klein says that if Hillary Clinton is not indicted, FBI Director James Comey and “a lot of other FBI agents” would resign as well in protest.

In an interview with Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co” on Friday, Klein said, “I think Comey realizes that he’s got to wrap this [investigation] up well before the conventions otherwise he’s going to disenfranchise millions and millions of people. So I think this is going to be wrapped up in around six more weeks.”

Klein said that he thinks Clinton will get indicted but “Hillary has her lawyers talking to the Justice Department about a lesser charge, something in which she would just say, ‘Well, I’m sorry. It was a little sloppy, I shouldn’t have done that.”

In that case, Clinton “would be let off.” However, Klein said that he didn’t think that scenario would occur.

Host Stuart Varney responded, “That wouldn’t happen? Because that would be a way around the political problem of indicting the likely Democrat nominee for the presidency.”

“Right, but James Comey is after all… the Eliot Ness of our time. He is really not going to let politics interfere with what he finally decides.” (RELATED: Will FBI Director James Comey Actually Interview Hillary In Email Investigation?)

[dcquiz] Varney then asked Klein, “But it’s up to the judgment of the Justice Department to say ‘yes indict’ or ‘No, don’t indict.’ It is not James Comey’s call, is it?

“Well, it’s his call to make the referral and it’s up to the Justice Department. And if the Justice Department decides not to listen to what James Comey is suggesting, I think there’s going to be hell to pay.”

“Do you think James Comey would resign,” Varney asked.

“Yes, he already threatened to resign during the Bush Administration as you may recall when things did not go right,” Klein said. Adding, “Absolutely, I think he would resign and I think a lot of other FBI agents would go along with him.” (RELATED: Report: Feds Moving Forward With Plan To Interview Hillary In Email Investigation)

More cotton candy for conservatives.  Have we still not learned that when it comes to the Clintons, there is no such thing as legal accountability?  They basically used the State Department to carry out graft on a global scale, selling secrets and favors all over the world, and nobody gives a crap.  Especially James Comey, whose job it is to whitewash everything.

If the Clintons thought there was any chance Hillary might face indictment, they would be all over Comey right now, attacking him as a partisan hack, etc.  No, the fix is in on this.  That much is already clear.

You have to hand it to the Toons.  They managed to keep Joe Biden, John Kerry, Elizabeth Warren and Jerry Brown out of the race.  Between Hillary's health issues, her abysmal track record in office, and this treason, you'd think someone credible in the evil party would have stepped forward.  But no.  She ends up going toe-to-toe with a 70-year old socialist relic and she is still gasping for air.

Elizabeth Warren must be wondering about now whether she sold out at too low a price.

I heard the interview Hannity had with him and he sounded quite sure that something was going to happen, it wasn't going to be swept under the carpet as usually is the case with the Clintons.  Klein said Comey is a man of extremely high character and honesty and wouldn't be shaken by anyone if the investigation proves madam is guilty.  We'll see if he meets an "untimely" demise as have so many others who went face to face with the Clintons.

VJM... I pray you are wrong.  The only thing that sustains me is I am still idealistic enough to think there are enough principled, career investigators at the FBI to know where the "levers" are to bring this forward.

As for the rest, I am deeply, deeply cynical.

Hey, no offense, I hope I am wrong as well.  But I am pretty sure I am not.

People like Ed Klein and Andrew Napolitano make their living feeding up fantasy for right-wingers, and we have no bigger fantasy than seeing HRC in an orange jumpsuit, wearing shackles around her enormous ankles.  Right wing media have been painting this fantasy for more than 20 years, and we have been buying it for over 20 years, mostly because we believe there should be blind justice in the USA.

Unfortunately, when it comes to the Clintons, there is no such thing as blind justice.  They are above the law.  If we don't know that by now, we have learned nothing from all of these years howling at the moon.

Conservatives waiting for a HRC indictment reminds me of Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

Yeah, I'd like to see it too, but only after she wins the nomination. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Think General Petreaus

Obama went after him for political reasons, in my opinion.

Three Sec. Def. have spoken negatively about Obama.

I believe Petreaus was headed in that direction, too. But they had something on him.

So it is political. So far Clinton has survived and I expect will continue to do so.
