...An attendee asked what he views as the “top three functions of the United States government.”

“The greatest function of all by far is security for our nation. I would also say health care, I would also say education,” Trump replied. “There are many many things. But I would say the top three are security, security, security.” ....

Oops.  But the ducklings won't care.  As long as that big government is inside a wall then it is okay with them.

Let's not forget raising taxes. Trump loves him some raised taxes.

“There’s a $2.2bn deficit and the schools were going begging and everything was going begging because he didn’t want to raise taxes ’cause he was going to run for president,” said Trump. “So instead of raising taxes, he cut back on schools, he cut back on highways, he cut back on a lot of things.”

Trump also added of the Badger State in general: “Wisconsin has a lot of problems, plus there is tremendous hatred … I wouldn’t exactly say that things are running smoothly.”

BTW, the 2.2 Billion figure is a total lie fabricated by this fumbling moron Trump during a debate against Walker. No one, not even Time magazine (which the lying dirtbag cites as the source of the figure) acknowledges it being that high.

Quote
The only time that the $2.2 billion figure has appeared even on Time’s website is after the magazine published a transcript of the second Republican debate, on Sept 16 — and quoted Trump as jabbing at Walker: “In Wisconsin, you’re losing $2.2 billion right now.” He added: “You were supposed to make a billion dollars in the state and you lost $2.2 billion. You have right now a huge budget deficit. That’s not a Democratic talking point, that’s a fact.” But here’s the rub: weeks before Trump uttered the claim at the September debate, fact checkers had already called him out for using it. On July 28, PolitiFact Wisconsin gave Trump a “mostly false” for making this claim in a campaign event. And on July 29, FactCheck.org published an article titled “Wisconsin’s Trumped Up Deficit.” Both fact checks made similar points: Wisconsin, under state law, is required to have a balanced budget. There had once been a projected budget shortfall of $2.2 billion over two years, back in November 2014, after an earlier projection of a $1 billion surplus. But the shortfall was never a deficit — because the law requires a balanced budget. Indeed, on July 12, two weeks before Trump made the comments that were fact checked, Walker signed into law a two-year balanced budget.

He pointed to Time when Time was quoting Trump?   :thud:
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Of course. Since he consults himself first, it only stands to reason that he would do so.

  • WE are NOT ok!
Trump is a lying liberal and a fraud.  It's a good thing he wasn't asked what are the functions of the three branches of government; he would have been equally stumped.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Someone should. In reality I think this election kinda proves that quite a few people on our side doesn't want a small Government like they claim.

Yep, it is the split among the authoritarian right versus the liberty right.  The authoritarian right likes big government as long as it is being used as the hammer they desire for their specific issues.

It is an old battle in the Republican party.  A light is just shown very brightly on it now.

I agree.. I remember towards the end of the Bush era how the authoritarian right claimed Bush was a big Government RINO, while they support Trump (who is truly a RINO). I remember in 2012 in how the authoritarian right called Romney a big Government RINO yet they support Trump..
