John Kerry: World leaders 'shocked' by GOP race
'It's an embarrassment to our country'
Published: 22 hours ago

Secretary of State John Kerry said on national television the Republican Party is an embarrassment to the United States because of the recent rhetoric that’s hailing from the GOP presidential campaign trail.

He mentioned specifically on “Face the Nation” on CBS that the talk among some Republicans about barring Muslim entry into the country, or policing Muslim-dominated neighborhoods in America, or waterboarding those captured by U.S. intelligence officials, are all proving “an embarrassment to our country,” he said, Politico reported.

The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response to this theme: ‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’

“[It] upsets people’s sense of equilibrium about our steadiness, about our reliability,” he said.

Kerry, who also defended President Obama’s stay in Latin America both during and after the Brussels terrorism attack – a decision that sparked criticism from many in the Republican camp and among the media, for the public-relations message it sent – then said the optics of the GOP campaign don’t look good on the international stage.

Can the Republican Party save itself? Richard Viguerie has the prescription in “Takeover.”

“Everywhere I go,” he said, Politico reported, “every leader I meet, they ask about what is happening in America. They cannot believe it. I think it is fair to say that they’re shocked. They don’t know where it’s taking the United States of America.”

This is the REAL crux of the matter.  What they are really asking is:  how can the world's premier military go to an also ran in less than seven years; we can't believe anything this administration says; how can you accumulate so much debt in 7 years?; the democrats have two far left candidates, neither of which believes in America under the Constitution; who knows what the republicans are doing?; why does Obama defend muslims more than Americans?; how can welfare be so high and so many people poor in what is supposed to be the wealthiest nation in the world; etc.  He's blaming the republican primary for the failure of the administration to befriend any nation, befriend the American people, for destroying the integrity of the presidency, and weakness before the enemy (islam).

Sad to say that I agree with John Kerry.

They should be shocked by the entire 2016 presidential line up, with a criminal and a two-bit socialist opposing an isolationist twit.

Hmmm.... seems to me leaders at home and abroad have forgotten that Americans do not go quietly in the dark night---so of course they're "shocked".   :smokin:

  • WE are NOT ok!
I think its a fair summation that most Americans are shocked and appalled at what's happening as well.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I'm embarrassed that a shrieking former Secretary of State and failed attorney, completely lacking in qualifications for the job of president, who actually put confidential information out into cyberspace without a whit of protection and a doddering old Marxist who fancies himself Santa Claus are considered legitimate candidates by the DNC.

I'm also embarrassed that the other party's candidates have lost focus of the nation's interests, engaging instead in a neverending battle of, "I know you are, but what am I?"  Who has a rock I might hide under for the next few years?

We have all been embarrassed over him also.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

John apparently doesn't have the skills to appreciate or understand irony.

Cruz isn't an isolationist.

Well, the world must be wondering how we could have gone from bad to worse with a candidate who brings back the Nazi loving AMERICA FIRST movement.  A candidate who thinks it might be a good idea to threaten China with war and allow Japan and South Korea to have nukes.

But then we do have an Obama vice president who thought that Obamacare was a Big Fing Deal.

Bill was, of course, talking about neo-nazi pandering Trump.

Exactly.  Drumpf is.  Go figure.

He's also been likened to a nativist.  One step away from a nationalist. Given his proclivity for big government - government healthcare and high taxes - I'll leave it to the imagination what that is two steps away from.

Correct. Cruz is so opposite from all those other adjectives that describe Trump in that sentence, that we wouldn't want to forget that distinction either.
