Coulter: Defending 'mental' Trump like constantly bailing 16-year-old out of prison

By T. BECKET ADAMS (@BECKETADAMS) • 3/28/16 8:19 PM

Defending billionaire businessman Donald Trump is like constantly having to bail a teenage son from prison, author and political commentator Ann Coulter groused in a recent radio interview.

"I'm a little testy with our man right now. Our candidate is mental! Do you realize our candidate is mental?" Coulter said jokingly during a taping of an episode of the "Milo Yiannopoulos Show," which is scheduled to air in full this weekend. "It's like constantly having to bail out your 16-year-old son from prison."

Yiannopoulos and Coulter have spent most of the 2016 GOP primary enthusiastically defending Trump, and making the case for why he is the most qualified candidate to take on the Democratic front-runner in the fall.

However, Coulter is now unhappy with Trump over his late-night Twitter shenanigans, which have included attacks on journalists, businesses, television networks, heads of state and Heidi Cruz, the wife of Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Trump circulated a tweet last Wednesday evening featuring an unflattering image of Heidi Cruz alongside a picture of his third wife, Melania. Text superimposed over the side-by-side picture read, "no need to 'spill the beans' the images are worth a thousand words."

"Spill the beans" is a reference to when the casino tycoon warned Tuesday he'd go after Cruz's wife in response to an anti-Trump ad featuring a picture of Melania from a nude G.Q. photo shoot.

The ad was put together by a political action committee, Make America Awesome, which has no affiliation with the Cruz campaign.

"Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!" Trump said Tuesday evening on Twitter.

Cruz, whose campaign had nothing to do with the Melania-related political action committee ad, responded in a tweet, saying, "Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought."

The senator added later, "Donald, real men don't attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life."

For Coulter, Trump's attacks on Cruz's wife may have crossed a line, and she wished he, "would be a teensy bit less low-brow."

"This is the worst thing that he has done," she said as her host laughed. "Everything else I could probably defend."

She brushed off the press' negative reaction to similar Trump attacks, including his ongoing one-sided war against Fox News' Megyn Kelly. More often than not, Coulter said, negative press for Trump has been nothing but "liberals" overreacting. She added, "He has been more of a victim than the victimizer."

Yiannopoulos disagreed, and argued in favor of Trump's many attacks, including the one on Heidi Cruz.

"The trashier he gets, the more I love him!" the host said. "I think it's so outrageously funny. People are so sick of earnest pearl-clutching from the establishment. A presidential candidate — and not just a presidential candidate, but somebody who's probably going to get the nomination is saying 'you're wife's ugly and my wife's hot' — I think that's amazing. It may not scream 'presidential material…' But some people are going to think 'what a boss!'"

Coulter responded, saying, "You know, I love him so much on immigration I'm not even going to argue with you. I say low-brow, you say amazing … Let's just talk about what he's good on. He's the only one who's going to build a wall, but please stop testing our patience on the rest of this stuff."

Which explains a lot of why Little Annie Fannie's credibility is somewhere between zero and minus one these days.

This has been one of the absolutely sleaziest campaigns I've seen in a lifetime of watching them. It's bad enough
that the likely race for the White House will come down to a crank and a crook. But anyone who thinks the negative
press for Donaldus Minimus has been limited to "liberals overreacting" has her head so far up her ass she can walk
you through her in-progress root canal procedure play by play.

Forgive me if I don't want to vote for trash this November. But that's what each party's going to give us.

I used to like Coulter.  You can't support a candidate on one policy.  It isn't even verifiable that he actually means what he says to the public.  Is a wall that important?  They will dig under it.  Cruz has a much better plan for immigration.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

I used to be a fan of Coulter's, but now she's like that last call chick when the sum comes through your bedroom window.

And yet she keeps doing it over and over, I assume expecting different results?

Pretty much a big to do about nothing. Desperate attacks by desperate people.

Yiannopoulos is a creep and a genuine piece of human garbage. He isn't even an American that is able to vote but loves Trump because he treats people terribly. What a mental case.
