By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Entertainment Newsweekly — Celebrated actors Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna have joined up with Ripple Funding, a mobile-based charitable giving platform, to raise awareness for veterans, first responders, their families and others in need. Mr. Sinise, Mr. Mantegna and Ripple have created a campaign that supports the Gary Sinise Foundation, in recognition of our nation’s defenders.

Follow along for free as Gary, Joe, and Ripple give fans an inside peak at how the Gary Sinise Foundation supports those who have served our nation in a series of photos and videos provided by the celebrities themselves. Gary Sinise is perhaps best known for his role as “Lieutenant Dan” in the movie Forrest Gump. This role provided inspiration for Gary to focus his charitable efforts towards veterans and military affairs. He is starring in the upcoming series “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”.

Joe Mantegna’s versatility as an actor has led to iconic roles on both the big screen and television. With over 100 films to his credit, Joe has had memorable roles in Godfather 3, Bobby Fischer, and Forget Paris. He is currently the star of the hit television show “Criminal Minds”.

He's kind of taken over for Bob Hope and the USO.
