Mohamed Jamal Khweis, a Palestinian Muslim settler formerly living in Virginia, was caught by Kurdish forces. Khewis was fighting with ISIS. He claimed to have run away. There's no way to know what his real agenda was or is.

Khewis' family however claims that he's a wonderful person who can in no way be with ISIS... when they're not violently assaulting reporters.

Several journalists, including Peggy Fox with WUSA9, informed the man that the photographers and reporters were on public property had a right to be there.

A younger man joined the older man and they identified themselves only as father and son. They refused to answer questions and were very agitated with cameras still rolling and questions being asked.  Both men pushed and hit the cameras of five photographers, including WUSA9 photojournalist Greg Guise and CBS photojournalist Lindsey Boerma.

Any chance that the media can get interested in this attack on the media? Or would that be Islamophobic?

It depends on how aggressive the cameras and reporters were.  I am not saying that attacking them is justified, but it more likely had less to do with being muslim and more to do with being annoyed at having cameras pushing in on family affairs.  Paparazzi aren't welcome under whatever name.
