(Newser) – Mass killer Anders Behring Breivik made his first public appearance since his 2012 trial a memorable one on Tuesday. The 37-year-old raised his right arm in a Nazi salute as he arrived in the gymnasium of Skien prison in Norway, where a judge will hear his case against the government, reports Reuters. Breivik, who is isolated from other inmates, says he's suffered "inhuman and degrading treatment" due to his limited contact with other people. An attorney general says "there is no evidence that the plaintiff has physical or mental problems as a result of prison conditions." The judge's decision is expected within weeks.
