Sessions would be a good choice for VP, but...
1. I think he could serve the Trump administration and the country better in another position. I'd particularly like to see him overseeing immigration and Homeland Security.
2. I think a -better choice- for VP would be Scott Walker of Wisconsin. He's without question the most accomplished Republican governor in recent times, having literally "bent" Wisconsin (a bluish-purple state) away from the left and towards conservatism. He's also acceptable to the GOPprog types, evangelicals (he's a preacher's son), and should be acceptable to most rank-and-file conservatives as well.
