Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who has famously feuded with Donald Trump, came to his defense Friday night, saying the cancellation of the GOP presidential front-runner's Chicago rally amid raucous protests robbed him of his First Amendment rights.

In remarks on "The Kelly File," the host also argued those who came to hear the brash billionaire had their rights trampled too.

"For all these people know, [other attendees] weren’t Trump supporters," she said. "We’ll never know now because they shut down their right to listen to the frontrunner on the Republican side."

She then urged people to curb their anger and "lower the temperature."

Kelly's remarks were posted by Mediaite.

Kelly also retweeted comments from Trump rivals Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

In my view, the Trump rally is a private meeting. Show up to disrupt, and you should get ushered out.

If you went to a church or sporting event to disrupt, you would be made to leave.

If you went to an event to throw rocks or urine, you would be taking a risk about the ability of law enforcement or security to respond without harming you.

Disruptors at events or discussion forums know what they are doing. They intend to create chaos, get attention, to gain advantage for their point of view, or in some cases simply because they revel in the attention, and discord.

If you sympathize with the students that threw stones and urine at National Guardsmen in 1970, then take responsibility for the four dead.

A lot of the discord and chaos on this site now, is probably caused by some professional paid disruptors, to harm conservatism and the Republican party's chances in the election.

Some disruptors may be mentally ill with obsessions galore. They may wear diapers so they don't have to go too far from the screen, and miss a chance to post.

We know that typically they are people kicked off site, after site for bad behavior. They were doing that routine, long long before the Trump candidacy.
