'Arrest and prosecute Bill Clinton' petition draws 100,000
Ex-prez accused of 'egregious violation of the campaign laws'

Move over, Hillary. The Democratic Party’s presidential primary front-runner may be facing a federal indictment for investigations related to her home-based email service, but according to nearly 100,000 petitioners, it’s her husband, Bill, who ought to be jailed right now.

About 100,000 signed on to an online petition calling for his immediate arrest over allegations he violated Massachusetts voter laws on Super Tuesday regarding campaigning inside polling places.

The ‘Stop Hillary’ campaign is on fire! Join the surging response to this theme: ‘Clinton for prosecution, not president’

“This is a call for the immediate arrest of President Bill Clinton for clear, knowing and egregious violation of the campaign laws to swing an election in a significant way,” the petition states, the New York Post found. “It could not be any clearer in the Massachusetts General Laws.”

The petition, posted at Change.org, also says: “Bill Clinton should immediately be subject to arrest and prosecution.”

The petition was started by Sen. Bernie Sanders’ supporters who were outraged after seeing Clinton seeming to campaign for his wife within a 150 feet of polling stops in a couple of spots in Massachusetts on Super Tuesday.

The website for the Massachusetts secretary of State specifies “certain activities are prohibited within the polling locations and within 150 feet of the polling place” on elections. And among those prohibited activities: the “solicitation of votes for or against, or any other form of promotion or opposition of, any person or political party,” the website said.

Photographs from the polling scenes on Super Tuesday show Clinton attending a rally at one spot in New Bedford and physically entering polling places in two other communities, the New York Post said.

“Although the spokesperson for Bill Clinton denies that he was ever inside a polling place, photos and video show him clearly greeting and talking up election workers inside,” the petition states.

The Boston Globe, meanwhile, reported Clinton actually told one voter to “pull the lever for Hillary,” and told others at another polling spot, “I especially thank those of you who are supporting Hillary.”

The petition, with 97,696 supporters early Friday morning, was started by Veronica Wolski of Chicago.

“This malfeasance, on the part of the Clinton campaign, will not go unchallenged,” she said, the New York Post reported.

Clinton won by a slim margin in Massachusetts, with 50 percent of the vote, compared to the 49 percent touted by Sanders.

The petition also states: “After being told to refrain from this activity, which is a 3rd degree Voter Violation Felony, for which Clinton indeed must have known the law and chose to violate it, Bill Clinton does not vote in Massachusetts, and would have no other business in a polling station on election day besides campaigning for his wife. We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that you honor the democratic process with all the dignity it deserves, and hold Bill Clinton accountable for the felony of his actions.”

Hillary Clinton is facing a criminal investigation from the FBI about the use of a home-based email server for her previous secretary of state duties that was found to have contained classified and sensitive information.
