Marco Rubio continues Trump feud in Rogers, AR

ROGERS, Ark. —In the national feud between GOP frontrunners Donald Trump and Marco Rubio, it was the Florida Senator who got the last word in Northwest Arkansas.

Hours after Trump spoke in Bentonville, Rubio addressed a crowd at Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers.

Calling Trump a "con artist" and a "scam," Rubio went after Trump on issues including Trump University and foreign production of some Trump-owned brands. The speech built off Rubio's attack on the poll leader at Thursday night's CNN debate, when Rubio mocked Trump on his policy stances and business history. It followed Trump's mocking of Rubio in Bentonville, where the business mogul teamed up with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to attack Rubio's inexperience and financial history.

There were lighter moments, as well. Rubio recounted his personal history, saying he inherited almost nothing and worked his way up. Flanked by Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who endorsed him earlier in the week, Rubio pitched his "New American Century" platform that includes low taxes and strong foreign policy.

Rubio, who has yet to win a state in the GOP primary, needs a strong performance on Super Tuesday. His state campaign chair, Sen. Bart Hester of Cave Springs, tells 40/29 News that Rubio internal polling shows the Florida Senator with a good chance to win Arkansas, where he has endorsements from many of the state's top political leaders.
