ROGERS, Ark. —Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson is doubling down on his endorsement of Marco Rubio, calling on Arkansans to defeat Trump on Super Tuesday.
The governor released the following statement:
“It is up to Arkansas to stop the Donald Trump show. The next generation of conservatives cannot allow Donald Trump to take everything we stand for and throw it away. Marco Rubio has shown that he is the only candidate that can take the fight to Trump and win. If conservatives are serious about stopping him, then we need to unify behind Marco to win in November.”
Gov. Hutchinson is in Northwest Arkansas on Saturday. He early voted in Rogers and will address the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce on Saturday night. Next Monday, he will appear with Rubio at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
Rubio is also in Northwest Arkansas. He will speak at the Global Outreach Center of Immanuel Baptist Church in Rogers at 9:30 p.m. Look for live coverage on 40/29 News at 6, 9, and 10 p.m. and on 4029tv.com.
