Senior Daesh Commander 'Abu Bakr Ramadi' Arrested in Iraq's Ramadi
The senior ISIL leader, Mustafa Ahmad al-Murshed nicknamed Abu Bakr Ramadi was arrested by the Iraqi forces in Ramadi on Monday.
AhlulBayt News Agency - Iraq's security forces identified and arrested a senior ISIL (ISIS, Daesh) commander in the city of Ramadi as he was going to escape the Iraqi army's siege disguising as a civilian.
The senior ISIL leader, Mustafa Ahmad al-Murshed nicknamed Abu Bakr Ramadi was arrested by the Iraqi forces in Ramadi on Monday.
Ahmad al-Murshed played an important role in ISIL's attack on Ramadi and its occupation last year.
Ahmad al-Murshed was trying to escape the security forces' siege while disguising as an ordinary civilian.
In a relevant development on Sunday, the Iraqi army forces killed 60 ISIL terrorists and defused 56 bombs.
Airstrikes against the ISIL positions in al-Hamziya region in Ramadi killed 60 Takfiri terrorists, Ismail al-Mahlawi, the commander of al-Anbar operations, told al-Soumeriya news website on Sunday.
Also on Saturday, the Iraqi fighter jets bombarded the Takfiri terrorists' military positions in Anbar province, killing the ISIL's newly-appointed governor and his deputy.
ISIL Governor Wahib al-Bu Aber and his deputy Mohammed Talib were killed in the Iraqi airstrikes on a farm held by the notorious Iraqi terrorist Khaled al-Sadoun in Heet region of Anbar province.
At least 20 other ISIL terrorists were also killed in the Iraqi airstrikes.
Al-Anbar province is the scene of tough battle between the Iraqi army and the ISIL terrorists for several months.
