A knife-wielding maniac sliced a taxi driver from ear to chin during an apparently unprovoked assault in Harlem early Tuesday, officials said. The knife attack was the latest in a spree of slashings in the city this year — and the second blade attack in Manhattan within three hours, officials said. The taxi driver, 45, told police he was dropping off his fare at W. 159th St. and Amsterdam Ave. about 1:30 a.m. when the man — identified by police as Leolyn Rowe, 47, of Brooklyn — reached into his pocket as if he was about to pay.
