Trump pushes back on newspaper attacks, says Christie should stay in race

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/02/10/trump-pushes-back-on-newspaper-attacks-says-christie-should-stay-in-race.html

Now why on earth would Trump want Christie to stay in the race? /s

The hell you don't.

That entire post and this is what you comment on?

If you read more carefully, or maybe just with an eye to do something other than find some petty thing to pick at, maybe you'd understand that the analogy pertained to the guy NOT at bat, but rather criticizing the batter from a distance.

Perceived results. Trump says a lady got killed in San Fran by an illegal convict our system failed to deport, and he is going to fix that.

Establishment candidates recite one more time, their failed plans. Establishment candidates have been running things all along, and people think the system is broken.

You don't hire the people you think broke the system, to fix and keep running the system.

I stopped ridiculing people that view the situation that way awhile back. They make sense to me.

When firms have a downturn, and bring in a "turnaround" expert, it is rarely an insider. They want somebody from outside to shake things up.

Trump tells people that he intends to shake things up, and that sounds good.

You can't bring a man into the office of POTUS to turn this country around. That's not how things work. We don't have (we're not supposed to have) a strong man Presidency.

If Trump (or anyone elected) starts to execute Lone Ranger fixes for  the perceived problems in the nation, he would be as wrong as Obama is right now. That's not the country that we live in. That's not what the Constitution calls for.

Perception.

I was here, and I watched along with everyone else.

Did Bush get on TV week in and week out defending himself against liberal attacks?

No, that's below the decorum of the office. But to lay blame on Jeb for Bush's perceived weaknesses is flawed thinking.

Agree if you are talking about legislating from the whitehouse... BUT the president and his cabinet MUST institute accountability into the agencies and bring them into line with existing legislation.
If we can get that done, that is half the battle.

Most issues that require accountability to kick in emanate from ideologically based Presidencies.

If that President took office on the promise of fundamentally changing America to his vision of what the country should be, then ( as far as he's concerned) whatever he does in order to bring that about is justified, so no one will be held accountable for anything.

Ergo Barack Hussein Obama/Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Bush governed as a solid pro-life Governor, being the first in the nation to push through "Choose Life" State license plates with a portion of the fees ging to assist pregnant women. Jeb led the fight to keep Terri Schiavo alive.

Bush opened the nation's first faith-based prison.

He ended affirmative action for State workers, State contractors and University admissions.

He established Florida's first state-wide voucher program, expanded charter schools, and instituted standardized testing. Kids

Bush moved Medicaid recipients to private managed-care plans, reducing the costs to taxpayers.

Bush signed the nation's FIRST "stand your ground" law. His NRA lifetime rating is A+

Think that may be why Barbara Bush 2 came out in support of Bubbette!?

Except if neither Cruz nor Trump can win the general election.   Then we all lose.

Even with the weakness of Clinton and the socialism of Sanders, we are taking a huge chance by nominating either of these frighteningly unpopular and divisive folks.  Let's stop living in a bubble and at least try to appreciate how much of the rest of the nation despise Trump and Cruz.  It's one hell of a hurdle to overcome.

I think it is likely you have no idea of the massive amount of hatred most registered Republicans and others who consider themselves to be conservatives hate the Globalist alleged Republican "usual suspects" the alleged Republican Party keep throwing at us. We haven't had a President worth the cost of the powder and shot it would take to blow him away since Reagan left office. All we get are the globalist traitors to America like the Bush Crime Family, that idiot McLunatic, and the incompetent Romney.

Now we have the final Bush running, and even one of nieces has came out as a Bubbette! supporter.

Did you catch hitlary's concession speech... talk about focusing on minority groups, she hit them all....

Yeah, but how is she going to "out patronize" the avowed "out" socialist candidate that has never even pretended to be anything else?

Need to toughen up there cupcake.. :)

It intrigues me how these candidates change over the campaign.  Hilary was "I am Great etc etc" but her concession speech was "free stuff for everyone"...

Sending a message to her target audience that "fee cell phones ain't squat! I'm gonna give you everything you ever wanted!"

No,she doesn't mean it,but they are gullible people who have been taught the government is their daddy,so they are programmed to believe anything a Dim says.

If they weren't gullible, the Dim Party wouldn't have a lock on their votes.

I'm not sure, but if anyone is willing to check, I would bet the Bushes also contributed.

And that excuses Trump,how?

BTW,Trump contributed to all of Bubbette's campains before this one. How many Clinton campaigns has the Bush Crime Family contributed money to?

Not counting Barbara Bush 2's recent support of Bubbette!,that is. I know she has given spoken support for Bubbette!,but don't know for a fact that she has also contributed money.

Except Trump is not a turnaround expert.

He's as big a proponent of big government helping him get what he wants for his business as anybody in the country.

How does someone who benefited as much as he has shake up the very system whose palms he's greased?

Exactly! He LOVES the current system because it allows him to profit from his business model of bankruptcy and manipulation of the tax codes.

Who here seriously thinks Trump wants to see the tax codes revised?

Jeb is far from out of touch on immigration.

Have you tried to explain that to his Mexican wife and the children who campaign in Spanish IN MEXICO for the Bush Crime family?

The same children, who all have arrest records,BTW,who are refereed to by some in the Bush Crime Family as the "Brown Bushes"?

My problem with the Bush family is that they tend to sound fine when they campaign, but when they get to office they get very, very squishy and moderate, letting the Dems have way too much running room. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice...

Not entirely true. Boy Jorge did everything but beg the gun control bunch to vote for him by saying if and when he was elected he would sign any and every gun control bill placed on his desk. He also did and said other things that made it obvious to anyone looking that he was more of a Dim than a Republican. Yet people voted for him anyhow, and just look at the things he supported and who he put on the SC.
