Night vision market to reach $7.7 billion by 2020

The global night vision market will reach $7.7 billion by 2020, according to a forecast by market research firm MarketsandMarkets. This reflects a compound annual growth rate of 8.8 percent over $5.1 billion in 2015.
Night vision devices have many military and civilian applications, as well as being used for paranormal research, the report noted.
North America will account for a large percentage of the market while the Asia-Pacific region is predicted to register strong growth due to constant upgrades in technology "as well as an increase in the use of night vision devices for civil and commercial applications," according to the report.
