Watch From On Board as This Warship Sinks to the Bottom of the Ocean (to make a reef)

It's incredible how fast it goes down.

You don't get many chances to see first person views on a real sinking ship without having to fear for your life. This is one of them.

In order to create a the first artificial reef in the Pacific Ocean, the folks behind the Rosarito Underwater Park sunk an old Mexican warship off the coast of Mexico. Luckily for you, they strapped a whole bunch of Go Pros all over the inside before they did.

Try to remember to breathe:

The ship here is the Uribe 121, the first Mexican naval vessel that was able to support helicopters. And while it's a relatively small little fella, it's still amazing to watch it go down. Sunk back in November of 2015, the Uribe 121 is the first of four ships that will ultimately make up the underwater park's reef. With any luck, the other three sinkings will be filmed in the same (or better!) detail.
