You are the expert on such matters, EC, but I do wonder just how much of Sharia law will be applied. Will the women, for example, be required to wear a hijab or even a burqa? Will they be allowed to enter the building or wander around in it without a male escort? Will service dogs be prohibited? How far does this go?
Not exactly an expert, but I do know a few bits and pieces.
Very little, if anything, will result from this.
Service dogs will be welcomed, of course. Women will be fine with brazenly uncovered hair and no guardian to keep their vacant little heads on the straight and narrow.
It's a bond, basically, without the risks of most bonds as it's based on physical assets, as is all Islamic finance. If you are a bond holder you don't own a portion of the debt, you own room 37, 3rd floor.
Suluks may not be used to finance anything sinful (just like the ethical bonds some finance services offer) - so, bars, pig farms, smoking rooms, brothels can not be built with suluk finance. It is the intent of the building that counts - a suluk financed hotel, for example, would not have a bar in it. Mini-bars in the rooms, however, are absolutely fine as they are both removable and put in by the tenants, not the bondholders. The same hotel couldn't be designed to raise pigs on an attached farm, but pork can be on the menu in the kitchens - as again, that is up to the tenants.
So, nothing much, really.
