Relying on GOP votes alone won't get it and Cruz can't carry the swing vote.  Trump can.

There is the difference.

Uh huh.  Better look at the RCP averages of general election match-ups.  Trimp loses to Clinton by 2 points, whereas Cruz beats her by a percent and a half.

I do agree that Trump has more potential to win a general election match-up, but so far there is no evidence of it.  Plus, his negatives with women, Hispanics and young voters are very high.

Looked.  Saw Rubio also beating her worse than Cruz (R +2.5 / C 1.3).

re: Hispanic voters = (-) for Trump.

That is not surprising, since a large majority of those supporting Trump are anti-amnesty, pro border control.
