Army Command Recommends
Green Beret Be Kicked Out for Confronting Afghan Child Rapist
GOP lawmaker demands ‘war hero’ be allowed to continue to serve

Army Human Resources Command has recommended that the Green Beret who confronted an Afghan police commander for raping a young boy be kicked out of the service.

Rep. Duncan Hunter (R., Calif.), who has pushed back against the Army’s decision to punish Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, revealed the development in a letter to Sen. Pat Roberts (R., Kansas) Wednesday.

“Recently, a decision within Army Human Resources Command recommended that the Army uphold the judgment that Martland be removed from service, although a final decision has yet to be made about his future,” Hunter wrote.

While serving in Afghanistan in 2011, Martland and another soldier confronted an Afghan Local police commander at an outpost for kidnapping and repeatedly raping a young boy, reportedly throwing the man to the ground and physically ejecting him from the base.

“For this action, Martland was removed from the outpost and faced reprimand. He later was allowed to reenlist, only to face a Qualitative Management Program review board in February 2015,” Hunter, a veteran Marine officer who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, wrote in the letter.

“The Army argued that the black mark on his record, which states he assaulted ‘a corrupt Afghan commander,’ is cause to expel him from duty, despite the fact that he has the full support of his command and immediate leadership.”

Martland appealed the review board’s decision, but the appeal was denied outright. The Green Beret was allowed to resubmit an appeal.

According to Hunter, who has been conducting his own investigation surrounding Martland’s dismissal from the service, the Pentagon inspector general informed him that military personnel are “very supportive of [Sgt. Martland] and his efforts to remain in the U.S. Army” and that there are ongoing efforts in his command not to “inadvertently hamper his efforts.”

Martland, who Hunter labeled a “war hero,” faces an end to his service in the Army at the beginning of March 2016 if the recommendations from Army Human Resources Command are followed.

Hunter asked Roberts to consider Martland’s case during the ongoing confirmation process of Eric Fanning to Army secretary. Roberts placed a hold on Fanning’s confirmation following threats from the Obama administration to use executive action to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

“The only suitable course of action, I firmly believe, is to permit Martland to continue his service in the U.S. Army,” Hunter concluded the letter.

Hunter has advocated for Martland since the Army punished him for defending a child victim of sex abuse. Hunter and Rep. Vern Buchanan (R., Fla.) introduced a House resolution last September demanding Martland’s reinstatement.

“The Afghan justice system continually failed to uphold individual human rights, and we would expect any of our elite warriors to project a child from a known and admitted rapist,” Hunter wrote in the letter to Roberts Wednesday.

Martland was one of multiple U.S. soldiers and Marines who were reportedly punished for blowing the whistle on Afghan forces sexually assaulting children. Gen. John Campbell, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, has denied the existence of a policy instructing U.S. troops to ignore allegations of rape at the hands of Afghan forces.

This has been going on for a while.

Here are the facts. SF teams deployed to foreign countries as advisers are NOT to interfere with local customs. You are there as representatives on the US government, and the US State Department has more to do with your mission than the US Army or the DOD. The Army gives you your orders, but those orders originate from the State Dept, not the DOD or the JCS. By stopping the homosexual child rape and manhandling the local official,he was both interfering with a cultural and tribal aspect that has been an accepted way of life for them for centuries. Maybe even longer.

Ok,that is the official and formal viewpoint. The viewpoint from teams on the ground are he was an idiot for losing control (understandably)  and acting in public where the local official was embarrassed and humiliated. Things like that can result in every SF team deployed to that country being pulled at the demand of that countries political/tribal leaders (which will almost never really happen because they need the US protection and they lust after all the "free" billions of US dollars that flow into their coffers and Swiss bank accounts), or in a worst case scenario, him and every member of his team being attacked and murdered in their sleep by tribal members.

Remember, these soldiers are NOT in America and NOT living under American law. They are there as invited GUESTS and have no legal or moral rights the local governments don't want to grant them.

What is SUPPOSED to be done is you are supposed to use your influence and your access to new "free" weapons, equipment, and stacks of 100 dollar bills to influence the local tribal chiefs to change their ways,or to at least not do any of that sort of thing in public where you can witness it. That usually works unless you have the misfortune to be working with the local tribal chiefs son because the last thing the tribal chief wants is to see all that money, equipment, and training disappear.

That is all I am going to say about that aspect of  this situation.

The major thing I want to highlight is this question,"WHY are we even supporting these shitheads in this modern day and age when we are SUPPOSED to have the political clout necessary to have other countries join in with us and demand of the national leadership that changes be made if they want to survive and remain in charge? Granted, these changes have to happen slowly because the leaders in that country rely on the tribal leaders to stay alive and stay in power, but it can be done if you have the patience.

Furthermore,I want to know WHY we couldn't have just told the Afghans that we were shipping this man back to the US to go to prison/whatever for his "crimes" against their local warlord, and then just ship him back home to a training assignment and let him continue his carrer as usual, with the stipulation that he never again be deployed to that area?

The answer is "We CAN,but in this case it looks like somebody in the State Department or some other cabinet branch of government is most likely a member of or sympathetic to that Man/Boy homosexual organization NAMBLA,and and senior enough he was able to use his influence to make sure this Sergeant was punished. Probably through other NAMBLA members or sympathizers he knows in the DOD. He not only doesn't want homosexual rape of male children to stop in Afghanistan,he wants it to be legalized in America.

Which is bad enough. What is worse is you can bet your ass at least  a dozen people know what this man's name and position is,and in all this time that has passed he is still in that position instead of being fired for using the power of his appointed office to run a personal vendetta, and in jail awaiting trial after the police investigation uncovered the evidence of him doing the same in this country.

In addition, the IDEAL situation,IMHO,would be for anyone who helped hiM do this and covered for him should also be fired and under arrest for being accomplishes.

Anybody who thinks this individuals name and position isn't known by at least a dozen people has never had an office job.

All of this leads ME to SPECULATE that the person pushing this is either Bathhouse Barry,or one of his close associates. Somebody that CAN'T BE FIRED OR ARRESTED.  There has never been any suggestion AFAIK that Barry is sexually attracted to anyone but adult white males, but there can be no doubt that he has friends and associates that like to hump little boys. You don't spent all that time in bathhouses and stay innocent of certain aspects of the culture.

This is the kind of crap that happens when you start "hiring" (electing) people who have special rights the rest of us don't have, and who can't be fired.
