Cool Way to Milk the Welfare State: Immigrants With Multiple Wives Get Extra Benefits

Over in the UK (for those of you who get your news from The Daily Show, that’s the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Muslim dudes who enjoy the benefits of shtooping multiple women without offending Allah will soon be entitled to additional government handouts.
Just like Winston Churchill always wanted.
The UK recognizes polygamous marriages, but only if they took place in a country where they’re legal. Of course, when they do migrate to a western European nation, they should be entitled to extra benefits from the government’s largesse, right?
Of course they should. That’s why a House of Commons library paper has highlighted a loophole that will allow extra wives to claim a full single person’s allowance while the husband and first wife receive standard benefits.
Basically, the original couple is entitled to £114.85 while the extra wives receive about £40 each, according to the paper.
Sorry, we don’t have any information about how much concubines and standard sex slaves receive.
“The Government decided that the universal credit rules will not recognise additional partners in polygamous relationships,” the paper states. ““This could potentially result in some polygamous households receiving more under universal credit than under the current benefit and tax credit system.”
It continues: “Treating second and subsequent partners in polygamous relationships as separate claimants could in some situations mean polygamous households receive more under universal credit than they do under the current rules for means-tested benefits and tax credits.This is because the amounts which may be paid in respect of additional spouses are lower than those which generally apply to single claimants.”
