A recently discovered cell phone of a dead ISIS fighter could go a long way towards proving that ISIS has a powerful regional ally: Turkey.

Turkey ranks tenth on the Global Firepower list of most powerful conventional military’s in the world, behind Japan at ninth and ahead of Israel at eleventh.

The mobile phone, discovered with the body of an ISIS ringleader, shows that the Turkish spy agency has been supporting ISIS.

Jabbar al’Ma’mouri told Soumeriya news on Monday, “The mobile phone was found with one of the killed ISIL (ISIS) leaders in the northern parts of the Salahuddin province two days ago.”

He said that the mobile set and history files contain messages from the Turkish spy agency that shows that Turkey has provided security at the points of entry that ISIS militants use to cross over from Turkey into Iraq.

Al’Ma’mouri also stated, “The mobile phone also contains other important information which cannot be disclosed now, and it has been delivered to the specialized security groups for further scrutiny.”
