I didn't get a chance to see the interview; but my question is far better judgement of what? He's talking about a guy who has gone before the Supreme Court several times and won when the odds have been stacked against him. So far, Trump has brought up conservative issues; hopefully if he becomes our POTUS he will keep his conservative views. With Cruz, I have no doubts.
With Cruz I have no doubt either, since he is conservative to the core.
Trump isn't likely to keep his 'conservative' views because they are not his own.
