Chicago Protesters Want To Defund The Police To Finance Black Trannies, Or Something Like That

Following the video release of the fatal officer involved shooting of armed drug-addict Laquan McDonald, the black people of Chicago have been going nuts protesting and demanding that everyone from the Mayor on down be fired. But those demands pale in comparison to some of the protestors’ stipulations. They apparently want the police to be completely defunded and that money used, among other things, to pay black trannies to be fabulous.
Breanna Champion, leader of the Chicago protest group Black Youth Project, was on MSNBC today and laid out their goals:
“So getting Mayor Rahm Emanuel to resign is definitely not the main goal of the movement right now. In Chicago, police receive 40% of our city’s budget to remain operational. That is completely unheard of and unacceptable. One of our major demands is that police be defunded and that that money used to fund police be used to fund black futures, and be used to fund our communities and things that we need,” said Champion.
That’s pretty bat-shit crazy, but a quick perusal of Black Youth Project’s on-line manifesto reveals even more insanity.
BYP100 organizes for the liberation of ALL Black people. In the wake of the release of the video showing the execution of Laquan McDonald, we are poised to continue our organizing across the United States. It is OUR duty to FIGHT for our freedom.
And here is how they intend to fight for that freedom. Spoiler Alert: it entirely involves demanding handouts from white people:
We demand all local, state and federal budgets to defund the police and invest those dollars and resources in Black futures.
We want reparations for chattel slavery, Jim Crow and mass incarceration.
We want to end all profit from so-called “criminal justice” punishment – both public and private.
We want a guaranteed income for all, living wages, a federal jobs program, and freedom from discrimination for all workers.
So far this list is just a “we hate white people, but we want their money without having to work for it” type of thing, but here is where things really come unhinged:
We want the labor of Black transgender and cisgender women (unseen and seen, unpaid and paid) to be valued and supported, not criminalized and marginalized.
I’m not even really sure what this particular demand means. I guess they want the white man to pay black trannies for whatever work it is that they do. The question is: what is that work? Prancing? Sashaying? I suppose prostitution is in there somewhere considering they say that black tranny work has been criminalized.
What we can take away from this is that a black protest group wants to eliminate all police and use that money to subsidize black transgender hookers. Who says these black protestors aren’t reasonable?
This fantasy that many blacks hold of getting rid of the cops is easily one of the most self-destructive ideas there is. Blacks are disproportionately the victims of crime. If you get rid of the cops and the criminal justice system, black victimization will do nothing but go through the roof.
Sure, there might be one less black kid high on PCP armed with a knife that is shot for attacking a white police officer under this scenario, but hundreds of thousands to millions of black people will be robbed, raped, and killed by other blacks every year. Does this sound like a rational trade-off?
Equally telling is how this group’s solutions to the problems in the black community all involve “give us some money” and not “let’s get our shit together.”
