MANCHESTER, N.H.

Jeb Bush was talking Social Security in a room filled with retired people. And in case you forgot, his claim to fame — besides the family name — is that he really likes that policy stuff.

“You heard that expression, ‘I feel like a pig in slop? . . . In the South, that’s a compliment,” said the former Florida governor as he wrapped up remarks at an AARP-sponsored summit at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.

Unfortunately for Bush, the 2016 Republican primary process is all about a kind of slop he doesn’t like and seems ill-equipped to handle. For now, Donald Trump — a candidate who is anything but thoughtful — is hijacking a race that the smart money believed was Bush’s to dominate.

Did it ever rise?  He never stood a chance, he should have known but then there's all that money he raised for three or four percent of the vote. Pretty lucrative little game when you look at it that way.
