When Donald Trump Accused Pamela Geller of 'Taunting' Muslims

A few months before Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump spewed Islamophobic hate speech, he accused anti-Islam activist Pamela Geller of needlessly antagonizing Muslims.


On May 4 of this year, Trump tweeted: “The U.S. has enough problems without publicity seekers going out and openly mocking religion in order to provoke attacks and death. BE SMART.”


His declaration was in response to the news that two men attempted to shoot up the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas during a “Draw the Prophet” event organized by Geller’s American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI).

Paris and San Bernardino abruptly intervened and required leadership. Which means strong leaders adjust their response to the facts on the ground.

Absent presidential leadership, Donald Trump has stepped up and is in fact telegraphing leadership, more leadership then is coming out of this administration.

His political foes: the media, the GOP establishment and Democrats are totally owned by Trump and they merely react – but it's Trump that sets the agenda.

Perhaps...or maybe Trump stuck his finger in the air to see which way the wind was blowing.  Perhaps he has no core convictions at all.

Obama Bin Laden set the agenda on 9/11.  I'm not equating Trump to Bin Laden, just using the most extreme example to make a point.

I don't like the nationalist agenda Trump is setting.  I don't like the support he is getting from some corners.

So let me understand.  This is the GOP Elite I voted for in 2010 to give the House a GOP majority and/or the GOP Elite I voted for in 2014 to win the Senate.  Is this the GOP Elite that promised me, no kidding, that they would repeal Obamacare, cut spending and get Obama under control?  Is this the GOP Elite you are speaking of?

The GOPe voted several dozens of times to repeal Obamacare( The next one will actually hit his desk to be VETOed http://www.nationalreview.com/article/428091/repealing-replacing-obamacare-clear-path),

spending was cut through sequester thanks to the GOP,


and Obama was blocked often you just are not reading about it because Trump disparages Mexicans, POWs, some ladies, the handicapped, and muslims.
