Perhaps not.  This is Trump central, and I'm obviously out of place here.

This forum seems quite evenly divided between supporters of a number of different candidates. Cruz has a lot of support, I've seen some support for Carson and Fiorina, Trump has some support, Rubio does as well.  Rand Paul has one or two backers I've seen.  I've heard some say good things about Jindal and Christie, and Walker had support before dropping out.  I think it is just that those with anti-Trump sentiment were particularly focused on vociferously deriding him and those supporting him constantly instead of backing their guy in particular - they were going intensely negative in their campaigning, so to speak.  Cruz and his supporters get quite a bit of negative hits as well, though nothing yet like Trump.

Not only that, but come on...."Trump Central"?

There's at least a half dozen of them that get after Trump supporters on a regular basis.

One on one...they're nothing to be afraid of.  Two on one, it's usually a typical garden variety assault.

When it gets to be three or four to one it becomes a hate crime.

And sink this is addressed to you..if you don't lighten up a little on your constant Trump bashing..we all know how you feel about his..a thousand times we know..I will lighten it up for you..
Must I choose my words carefully or they will be chosen for me?  If criticism of a self centered, Obama voting, Hillary donating, planned parenthood supporting, eminent domain loving, illegal employing, big government solution, xenophobic hypocrite populist needs to be shamelessly censored by the owner, maybe this "conservative" forum is not worth the trouble.  You could always form an email group or facebook page to pat each other on the back for your wise consul, percipient associations, and snide disdain for heretical Trump bashers.

Have you considered the possibility that you are wrong for the first time?  Considered that maybe Trump is a deceiver... so rare in big business?

From my perspective I believe Trump's foolish playthings think that the Presidency is a birthright of Trump's privileged life.  Just my opinion.

Sinkspur, I am sorry that work and family often prevent me from lending my voice to your farsighted warnings.  Thank you for injecting some logic to 5 pages of an embarrassingly Trumpspasmotic thread.

Perhaps I should be relieved that no conservatives said they don't care if Trump kills babies or eats puppies and kittens on this thread.

From my perspective it gets to be ridiculous when an individual continuously attacks a candidate or in their case candidates by spewing nothing but opinion and their rhetoric without the facts or proof to back them up.  When others respond to defend a candidate often backed by the facts, then they begin to make the attacks personal.  This isn't the only thread that they have "struck" with their mud slinging crap.

Getting back on topic - it is concerning that Trump has again stated that he wouldn't rule out a third party run IF he wasn't treated fairly.  This statement is coming a couple of weeks before the next CNN debate and it will be interesting to see if they ask him this question again.  My question is who does he think won't treat him fairly?  The MSM (which he has handled brilliantly) or the RNC perhaps?  Or is he testing the waters to see if his poll numbers drop after that statement?  Right now he is polling so well, that I am not quite sure why he is again making that statement.  Perhaps if he gets the nomination he feels that the other GOP candidates won't endorse him, yet he would be expected to endorse them??

It would be very difficult to win a 3rd party run; but not entirely impossible.

His third party threat certainly is a concern. It demonstrates that he isn't really a Republican, which I guess is helpful, but we don't need another Ross Perot to hand the election over to the Democrats.

My question is who does he think won't treat him fairly?

Damned right it's concerning. I'm old fashioned enough to believe that once you've given your word, that's it. It is one of the reasons I admire and will happily support Cruz - he does that. (Just wish he could do it in a more "tolerable" way.)

As to who he thinks won't treat him fairly - I'm guessing the GOP machine.

You're correct about the GOP machine. After all, when he entered the race establishment forces made it clear they wanted to take him out (and not for dinner and dancing). Trump, being who he is, fought back and will continue to fight opposition to his candidacy in the GOP primary.

I tend to be "old-fashioned" in that way as well; it's called - integrity.  If anyone has been treated unfairly by the establishment it's Cruz; but with him he really doesn't care what they think.  He stands by his principles and what he says.

Complete agreement. Cruz rocks! He may be a career politician, but that's not who he is. If someone doesn't get that, they don't know Ted Cruz. Get it?

Perot was definitely part of the problem; but the fact that the GOP had nominated yet another GOPe candidate was a big problem.

Everything about him is concerning if you ask me!  Although I will admit again that I really appreciate the fact that he has brought some real life into several important issues that were being pretty much ignored BT (Before Trump)!

We certainly need to nominate someone of substance who has something more to offer than "business as usual." One interesting thing about 1992 was that some Democrats supported Perot because they weren't at all enamored of Clinton but couldn't ever bring themselves to vote Republican (no matter the candidate). My aunt and uncle did that, and I just shook my head.  **nononono*

Yes, I get that.  Trump is being who he is.  I see it as a warning to the GOPe; if they don't get their crap together he'll run third party.  I understand where he's coming from and yes they have threatened to take him out.  At the end of the day, they haven't been able to do so and certainly he has displayed he has big enough shoulders to take the heat and continues to poll in first place.  So why now does he feel he again needs to make the statement?  I'm sure he realizes that it would hand the DEMS the presidency.  IMHO, IF he truly wanted to keep the DEMS from the oval office he wouldn't chance running 3rd party.  The best case scenario and it would be a long shot, would be 3 top leading candidates not being able to get the majority vote.  Then since the House has the majority, they would vote.  I just don't see this happening; I see Clinton would get the majority needed.

Contrary to what sink thinks, Trump is as much a dilemma to me as to the rest of conservative republicans. Don't ask me to explain any rationale for Trump's statements.

I do know this. Trump is no dummy. People who know him say he's intelligent, personable, funny, and a great big old patriot. Knowing this, I don't fear him like sink does.

Agreed!   Thought myself admitting as such when Sink asked me if I would follow Trump, 'Third Party'.

Trump speaks unfiltered...100% of the time.

After 7+ years of a teleprompter, it's refreshing to me.  But I realize you must ultimately WIN over the people and WIN the election and the power it brings if there's going to be any brakes applied to this sprint toward Socialism, while 'outlawing' Capitalism.

There is no question, at least to my mind,  that Trump taking on the media as he has done has allowed other candidates in the race to speak much more freely than they otherwise would have and I DO thank him for that as well!

Shameful when Republicans resort to the Leftist debate tactic of out right lying because they do not like the Candidate.

Trump specifically stated the database was for the SYRIAN REFUGEES, not all Muslims. So perhaps instead of clinging to the hysteric lying pushed by the Leftist media, we might have a debate about what is REALLY said by Trump?

I have to laugh that the Trump haters are resorting to shrill hysteric leftist style personal attacks and then want to pat themselves on being "far sighted".

Here a suggestion for you anti Trump people. Try making a rational case for your point of view without all the shrill hysteria and name calling. Drop the Leftist debate tactics of name calling and hysteric hyperbole.

Until you drop the politics of the personal attack and make a reasoned case FOR your point of view, everyone else here is just going to point at your posts and laugh.

REASON moves Conservatives, not these sort of overtly emotional, hyperbolic bile laced diatribe you anti Trump posters favor.

The primary value of Trump leading like he is now is the same as the REASON he is solidly ahead now: He is a take-no-prisoners, politically incorrect, bombastic, flaming a$$hole.

American voters are sick of the raging political correctness, climate change is everythng and helplessness in the face of the immigrant invasion and want someone who will do something bold, outrageous even to solve problems.  They don't give a flying crap about correctness or constitutional niceties...the Democrats and leftist's haven't been concerned with those things on their march to destroy America...and now they the leftists becoming more and stronger and they want it stopped. They are fine with a strong man shoving it back down the leftist's throats.

Republican voters in particular, having watched Republican after Republican (including George W. Bush for most of eight years) let themselves be crucified by the Democrats without ever lifting even a pinkie to fight back, they've watched Democrat wolves tear the Republican sheep limb from limb in public and the Republican sheep were too afraid to even run away.  After seeing this over and over for years, they want someone who fights, the dirtier and nastier the better.  They want someone who will grab Democrats and grab the political establishment and squeeze the very life out of them.  They want the blood of their enemies on the floor and their widows and orphans wailing in pain and loss.

That's why Trump is ahead...he is a nasty a$$hole who the voters see as someone who will take the fight to the leftists.

Exactly.  The voters are tired of RINO's like McConnel and McCain that continually vote along with the left.  They are tired of candidates like Romney and Bush who feel that being more moderate will appeal to more voters and gain them more votes when quite the opposite is true. IF conservative voters wanted their elected officials to vote along with the leftists, they would have elected a DEM. IF moderate candidates were more appealing to more voters, Romney would have made it into the White House and Bush would be leading in the polls.  The picture doesn't get much clearer than that.

You're trying to rile up the wrong crowd here, sink. We are wholly pissed off at Muslims, refugees, Islam, terrorism, jihad, sharia, beheadings, Allahu Akbar, and the whole bloody rest!

At this point a database, a national registry, DNA collection, photometrics, fingerprinting (internment camps, anyone?) sounds pretty sensible to me.

It's called War. Pity certain political groups would rather play politics with the issues then see the real threat. I would of thought 09-11 would of been enough of a wake up call but apparently some political activists would need to feel the knife at their throat before they will wake up.
