Obama just got caught in another big lie – this one rewrites history completely

Has there been a recent president as challenged at telling the truth as President Barack Obama?

Despite Obama’s claims that America has never used “religious tests” to determine who’ll be allowed in as refugees, the United States has a history of doing just that.

“When I hear political leaders suggesting that there would be a religious test for which a person who’s fleeing from a war-torn country is admitted … that’s shameful,” Obama said earlier in the week. “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion.”

But immigration experts have effectively busted Obama for being dishonest, according to Fox News.

One of those experts, Federation for American Immigration Reform spokesman Ira Mehlman, said the claims made by Obama contradict past practice.

“Clearly, there have been policies that said we’ll consider certain people from certain religions,” he said.

Fox News’ Todd Starnes also noted the hypocrisy of the president’s claims when his administration has specifically targeted Christians in deportation efforts, to include Iraqi Christians, as seen here:

In addition, there is a federal law, the Lautenberg Amendment, that allows the federal government to grant a presumption of refugee eligibility for religious factions.

A law Obama just extended last year, which currently “prioritizes the resettlement of Jews, Christians, Baha’is, and other religious minorities who flee Iran,” Fox News reported.

Russian and Ethiopian Jews, Armenian Christians and Catholics from Vietnam have all benefited from this law.

Even Obama’s State Department has suggested that Syria’s Christian community — 10 percent of the pre-war population in Syria — should get preferential treatment due to the brutality experienced at the hands of the Islamic State, according to Fox News.

Muslim’s video message to ISIS goes viral: ‘If you
don’t like this country, why the f**k do you come?’

Knox Thames, the department’s Special Adviser for Religious Minorities, wrote in a recent email: “Due to the unique needs of vulnerable religious minority communities, the State Department has prioritized the resettlement of Syrian Christian refugees and other religious minorities fleeing the conflict.”

And the State Department is not alone in their concerns for religious minorities.

Randall Everett, president of 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative, a Virginia-based nonprofit that fights religious persecution, told Fox News religious minorities are at greater risk and due extra consideration.

“I don’t know that I would say put Christians at the front of the line in every case, but I would say, as a policy, to put religious minorities first,” Everett said. “In Iraq and Syria, Christians and Yazidis are the minority, and their situation is dire.”
