Donald Trump takes shot at Ronda Rousey after stunning loss

Donald Trump joined the chorus of detractors critical of Ronda Rousey after her stunning defeat at UFC 193 on Saturday.


The Republican presidential candidate took to Twitter on Sunday to take a shot at Rousey following her knockout loss to Holly Holm in Melbourne.


"Glad to see @RondaRousey lost her championship fight last night. Was soundly beaten - not a nice person!" Trump tweeted.


Trump's barb is an apparent change of heart. He discussed Rousey in an August interview with CNN, insinuating the UFC star liked him and saying "I'd take her on my side as a fighter." Rousey, however, may have draw Trump's ire when she voiced a different opinion of his presidential aspirations.


"I mean, I wouldn't vote for him," Rousey told CNN. "I just really wouldn't trust the guy with running my country, that’s all. ... I'm not really going to get into specifics of it, but, I mean, I don't want a reality TV star to be running my country."

Really Donald.. I happen to agree with Ronda, I don't want a reality TV star to by running my country as well..

Rousey fired off at Trump and Trump fired back at a prime opportunity.  Rousey's moment of fame appears finished and Trump's moment continues.

How many times do I have to swat this down?

Only four of Trump's 700+ companies have had a bankruptcy. And that happened over 20 years ago during an economic downturn in Atlantic City gambling casinos.

That's a hugely successful track record in the business world. Every major, international company, which Trump Enterprises is, has had failed products or ideas or other business concerns.

If Trump becomes President - he will need to learn how to be the President of ALL the people, not just the ones he likes, and not just nice people.   I stand by my claim that he is not presidential.

Keep thinking though...how I was convinced Obama was going down in 2012.   :shrug:

Why?  It keeps Trump's name in the news.  Free advertising and media attention even if it is quite insignificant and irrelevant.

When did I say he has to be "nice" to everyone?    However character is everything, being the standard-bearer and  role model for the sons and daughters of America. You don't do that by bringing the Kardashians show to the White House.

Until this story came out, I hadn't a clue who she was, because I do not pay attention to fights. Haven't been interested in professional fights since the 1960s when my dad and I would listen to Joe Frazier fights on the radio.
It doesn't bother me that Trump had a favorite, but what does bother me is the way he picks enemy's and puts them down in a demeaning way. The way he does to whoever happens to be on the debate stage to his far right - put there because of the polls. In 2 debates now he made comments basically saying you are below me, you are not worth listing to.   Well Mr. Trump, my polls numbers would put me far far to the right of even Mr. Kasich. Millions of people to his right. I must be really below you.
