Flashback: ISIS Terrorist Threatens to ‘Fill the Streets of Paris With Dead Bodies’
(CNSNews.com) – In a propaganda video clip posted online last July a French-speaking Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist threatened to “fill the streets of Paris with dead bodies.”
The graphic video, apparently filmed in Syria’s Hama province, featured a terrorist shooting a man identified as a captured Syrian soldier at close range and throwing his body off a cliff.
Before the execution, a masked terrorist declared that ISIS “loves death like you love life” and urged supporters in France to carry out more terror attacks.
He directed his threat not only at French citizens but at “everyone who fights Allah and his prophet.”
Following Friday night’s deadly attacks in Paris, jihadist-affiliated Twitter accounts celebrated the killings, with some ISIS supporters using an Arabic hashtag translated as “Caliphate state strikes France,” according to [1] the SITE intelligence group.
The July video clip threatening more bloodshed in France was posted weeks after an extremist in France beheaded his employer and crashed a truck into a U.S.-owned chemical factory.
In an edition of its propaganda magazine Dabiq, posted online around the same time, ISIS described the killer in France as “a daring Muslim [who] came to the defense of the Khilafah [caliphate] by storming a French factory and beheading a kafir [infidel] belonging to France, a crusader coalition nation waging war against the Khilafah.”
France is taking part in the U.S.-led campaign of airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.
Another ISIS threat against France came in a video posted online last month, in which a jihadist speaking in French swore vengeance for French airstrikes.
“We give a message to France over the bombing in Iraq and Syria. We have warned, you are at war against the Islamic State,” he said. “We are people to whom victory will be assured with the help of Allah. Now you have been warned.”
“You will not be safe anywhere in France or in other countries,” the terrorist said. “We call for all the brothers who live in France to kill any civilian.”
Last January Islamist gunmen shot dead 12 people in an attack on the Paris offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, and a terrorist killed four Jews during a siege at the kosher supermarket. Those attacks were claimed by Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
