Once again in this country a person’s career was abruptly brought to an end following the faux outrage of a few at the expense of the many. This time it was University of Missouri President, Tim Wolfe who, after being accused of acting too slow in meeting the demands of a small yet vocal group of “outraged” students, found himself submitting his resignation today – the latest in a long line of recent sacrifices upon this country’s ever-hungry altar of political correctness.

The source for the quickly escalating outrage is said to have originated from two incidents. The first was when the university student government president, who is black, complained in September that two or more individuals in a passing pickup truck yelled racial slurs at him. This was followed by another complaint by a black students organization that a drunk white student yelled a slur at them. These two (unsubstantiated) events resulted in a staged protest mob of black students who intentionally blocked the university president’s car during Homecoming and demanded he get out of the vehicle. When police removed the protesters, black students on campus cried they were being treated unfairly and said the university president was ignoring their concerns.

The above is the extent of the recent “racial strife” on the University of Missouri campus.

(The media has made mention of a swastika made of feces in a university bathroom, but there is no idea as to who might have been responsible or what it was in reference to. Some have even suggested it was a intentionally put there by someone wanting to bolster claims of campus racial tensions.)

Student groups initiated a series of demands, and linked racial issues at the university to the shooting death of Michael Brown by a white Ferguson police officer last year. To date, none of those same student groups have indicated an awareness that the three hundred pound Mr. Brown was proven to have just robbed a convenience store and that all forensic evidence supported the claim by the police officer that Mr. Brown, who already had a lengthy criminal record, did in fact attempt to take the officer’s weapon from him.

Additional demands from some of the university student groups were for the university president to admit his, “white privilege” and that the campus have greater “black representation.”

Putting the ludicrous white privilege claim aside, let us take up this issue of “unfair representation.”

The University of Missouri has just over 35,000 students, 7% of which are black and 77% of which are white. This is an almost exact replication of that state’s overall population, meaning the university in fact represents the population itself.  THERE IS NO “UNFAIR REPRESENTATION.”

The entirety of the current University of Missouri complaints by some of its black students is nothing more than a pathetic extension of “black privilege” that has taken root among some minorities constantly seeking excuses for their own failures and shortcomings as human beings. Sadly, Mr. Wolfe’s resignation will only embolden yet more faux outrage/protests/complaints.

Any student conclusively caught inciting racial hatred regardless of their color should be punished accordingly, but in now way should a few incidents reflect upon the entirety of a university, a community, or a nation. Unfortunately we live in this age of far-reaching and terribly damaging generalizations, an act practiced by President Obama and so many like him his take singular events and apply them everywhere. Ironically, that is an act long employed by racists throughout history.

The University of Missouri football players who staged their own strike over the phony allegations of university-wide racism should have had their scholarships threatened. One need look no further than the student-voted government to see such charges of wide-spread racism are ludicrous and likely more self-serving than well-intentioned:

At the forefront is student government president Payton Head, the individual who initiated the complaints of campus racism in September of this year. (Who some have suggested enjoys a full ride scholarship at the very university he now claims to be racist.) As you can see, black students are in fact disproportionately OVER-represented on the university’s student executive cabinet despite being just 7% of the overall student population.

Payton Head is from Chicago and is also gay and someone who has declared their devotion the Black Lives Matter movement, is an open borders advocate, and to defending the rights of the transgender and Muslims. (An interesting paradox given the vast majority of Muslims throughout the world have a very negative outlook on homosexuality to the point of killing over it, but being a college campus activist has rarely required one to be intelligent.)

His social media pages have a decidedly anti-law enforcement bent as well.

It should be interesting to the media to note that almost immediately after becoming student government president Mr. Head used that platform to begin making repeated accusations that the University of Missouri was a place apparently dripping with racist intent and promoting nearly every popular progressive cause du jour of the moment while doing so. There was no actual evidence beyond his own social media generated claims that his personal experience with racial animosity by others actually took place, and to date, none in the media have questioned the truth of his story. Apparently they aren’t interested.

Imagine that.

How is it that a university president is required to resign based upon a singular story for which no verifiable evidence has been given? What a frighteningly simplistic world do we find ourselves living in when unproven thought becomes the genesis for real life consequence? Or that when the actions of a very few are then applied to the many?

What individuals like Payton Head and his ilk don’t understand is that they do not even remotely represent freedom or unity, but rather collective conformity created and maintained via the very threat of intimidation and harassment they claim to be fighting against.

Martin Luther King would have no use and even less respect for this world created by petulant, preening, and perpetually outraged idolaters of all too convenient moral dyslexia.

Stupid is as stupid does…
