Allen West: Left Sees Christians as Easy Targets--So Did Nero, So Does ISIS

Remember during the last National Prayer breakfast when, after the savage burning alive of a Jordanian fighter pilot by ISIS, President Obama chastised Christians for the Crusades? And y’all know how vicious the leftists Islamapologists speak out when we bring out issues surrounding Islamic jihadism and terrorism? Of course, we have an administration that finds it much easier to attack political opposition than to identify the true enemy of the State. Why?

Well, it seems one gentleman had the courage to answer that question.

As reported [1] by CNS News:

“An atheist professor said Tuesday that it’s acceptable to criticize Christians but not Muslims, because he does not ‘fear’ retaliation from Christians.

“‘I know what keeps me from critiquing Islam on my blog is just fear,’ Phil Zuckerman said at a discussion on religious liberty at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. “I’ve got three kids. ‘So I know I can say anything about Christianity or Mormonism, and I’m not living in fear, which is a testament to Christianity and Mormonism, and that’s wonderful. Thank you,’ said Zuckerman, who is a self-described atheist and professor of secular studies at Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif.

“Zuckerman was a panelist at the discussion as part of Georgetown University’s Religious Freedom Project at its Berkley Center. Kirsten Powers, a Democratic pundit, recent convert to Catholicism and author of the book ‘How the Left Is Killing Free Speech,’ said at the event that she does not understand why Muslims can oppose same-sex marriage and not be targeted by the Left for it, but calling out Christians for their beliefs is acceptable.

“Powers cited the hidden video recordings made earlier this year by Steven Crowder, who asked Muslim bakers in Michigan if they would bake a cake for a same-sex wedding and they refused. ‘If these had been Christian bakeries, it would have been on the front page of the New York Times, so I’m wondering why we’re able to have this amicable, disagreement with Muslims for having this view,’ Powers said. ‘Why are we not able to do that with Christians?’

“‘I absolutely agree with you,’ Zuckerman said. ‘I absolutely agree that it is okay for those on the left to critique, mock, deride Christianity, but Islam gets a free pass, which is so strange, because if you care about women’s rights, if you care about human rights, if you care about gay rights, then really Islam is much more problematic – sorry to paint Islam with a huge brush – and much more devastating,’ he said.”

We have asked that question here SO many times: why does the progressive socialist left give a “get out of jail free card” to hard examination and critique of Islam, yet are just giddy about attacking Christians? – the latest example being Kim Davis in Kentucky. We’ve shared here the pictures, reports, and stories of Islamic jihadists throwing homosexuals from rooftops. We know about ISIS fighters reading from the Koran before raping young Christian girls. There are numeroous beheadings, crucifixions and other forms of despicable executions to which we are exposed via social media, and yet, every single excuse is made. And if you bring this out, just as I’m doing now, it is I who will be castigated as invoking Muslim hatred — such was the case with Bernie Sanders last week at George Mason University.

Well, thanks Professor Zuckerman for enlightening us as to why this insidious hypocrisy exists — the left is made up of a bunch of cowards. They actually feel it’s just that easy to disparage and demean Christians because we’ll “turn the other cheek,” as opposed to Islamists — ok let’s be honest, Muslims — who will throw a hissy fit. But it appears that when Muslims throw a hissy fit, somebody gets killed — shall we recall Charlie Hebdo? Don’t forget the attack on Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh who simply pleaded, while being stabbed to death, if he and his assailant could just talk about it.

Instead, we have the liberal progressive left constantly on the rampage against those “extremist” right wing religious Christian fanatics who “cling to their guns and their religion.”

Now, there could be another reason why the liberal lefties, which includes the liberal media accomplices, are happy to denigrate and attack Christians and not Muslims or Islam — maybe they find agreement? Perhaps there’s an unholy alliance between progressive socialists and Islamists — after all, the left does rather closely unite with and embrace the Islamic terrorists of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (Fatah). Consider how the K2 combination of John Kerry and John Kirby over at the State Department put the sovereign nation State of Israel on par with the Islamic jihadists occupying Israeli territory — yep, that’s right, study up on who the REAL Palestinians are.

It doesn’t appear to be just abject cowardice to which Prof. Zuckerman subscribes. But, maybe at an ideological level, the leftist progressives have joined in with the other members of the unholy trinity — Islamo-fascists and secular humanists. And this triumvirate has laid its sights squarely on what is a fundamental basis of our American society, the Judeo-Christian faith heritage.

This reminds me of the New Testament verse from Ephesians 6:12 (NIV), “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms.” And that is why the subsequent verses admonish Christians to “put on the full armor of God.”

This is warfare and Prof. Zuckerman just let the cat out of the bag — the left sees Christians as easy targets. I suppose so did Nero — we know ISIS feels that way. However, it’s not just about the cowardice to which Zuckerman alludes, there is something far more dangerous and alarming; a collusion between ideologies and groups who seek to crush our freedom of religion and our faith.
