Germany: MKO plot to attack pro-Assad protesters foiled by police

Berlin police on Saturday arrested several people at a Munafeqin (MKO) rally who tried to incite anti-Assad forces to assault a nearby peaceful pro-Assad gathering.

Riot police had their hands full as dozens of anti-Assad activists tried to break through police lines to attack the pro-Assad gathering, among them many women and children, at Berlin's famous Brandenburg Gate.

The anti-Assad activists were earlier whisked away by a handful of Munafeqins from a nearby anti-Assad rally at the Russian embassy.

Several Munafeqins could be overheard telling the mostly young anti-Assad activists to either attack or secretly infiltrate the pro-Assad rally to film or make photos of the gathering.

Police detained at least two people from within the MKO rally who managed to cross the other side of the street to infiltrate the pro-Assad rally.

The MKO rally was not linked to the Syrian issue but to the recent attack on the Baghdad-based Camp Liberty.
