Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke about his opposition to the budget and debt ceiling agreement. He was critical of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), President Obama, and Senate Democrats over the deal.

Once again, it is Cruz that stands up to the Washington cartel. It is Cruz that displays backbone.  It is Cruz that displays leadership.  It is Cruz that speaks on behalf of the best interest of this country and the American people.  I pray that he is our nominee and makes it into the White House.  I honestly feel, he is this country's last chance.  We can't afford to continue on our current course and allow the "establishment/washington cartel" to dismantle this country.  Nor can we afford to seat a liberal criminal or a socialist in the White House.  The GOPe, Hillary and Sanders will ALL continue us on our current path.  With the GOPe it will just happen at a slightly slower pace than with the criminal or the socialist.

I haven't heard Cruz described as a "kook."  But I have heard him described as someone who doesn't work well with others.  The last issue Cruz brought to the floor saw him lose 98-2.  Why do so many of his conservative brethren not want to work with him? 

He has NEVER won any of the battles he's picked.  There's a reason for that.
