Cain, Bachmann, and Santorum all ran as outsiders...hell even Speaker Gingrich said he was an outsider. http://thehill.com/video/campaign/193615-former-speaker-gingrich-says-hes-a-washington-outsider 2 Governors (Gary Johnson, and Buddy Roehmer) who dropped out early and left the party to run as libertarian, and reform party candidates.
Believe what you want ac. I'm not going to change your mind...just try not to be too disappointed when the real voting happens.
Thanks for the response.
Among the factors of a successful run for office is the candidates party affiliation (which depends on the year and electorate mood, of course), and the candidate himself, his personality, background, scandals etc. Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich, Johnson, Roehmer may simply not have been presidential timber in the eyes of GOP voters.
While it's difficult to make direct comparisons, looking at how Trump conducts himself while remaining the front runner, and at doctor Carson's Sominex personality, and factoring Cruz's gadfly reputation and his bridge burning, and Fiorini's history at ill fated Lucent Technologies, these candidates are unquestionably outsiders and appear to have pushed aside the insider establishment candidates almost to obscurity.
So I continue to believe this election is the year of the establishment's rude awakening.
Of course, as many you are probably thinking, I could be whack.
