Planned Parenthood Official: Pope's ‘Taken a Back Seat When it Comes to Reproductive Health'

(CNSNews.com) – Planned Parenthood official Alexander Sanger, the grandson of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, criticized the pope in a statement Friday following the pro-life stance that Pope Francis expressed before Congress on Thursday and before the UN General Assembly on Friday.

"Despite Pope Francis’ progressive stance on climate change and economic equity, he has taken a back seat when it comes to reproductive health and women’s rights," Alexander Sanger said [1] in a statement.

Sanger [1] is also a board member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation for the Western Hemisphere Region.

"The pope and the Catholic Church must acknowledge the fact that 99 percent of Catholic women use contraception and have abortions at the same rate as other women,” Sanger said. “His pursuit to stifle contraception access reduces women to basic purveyors of biological materials and denies them the right to plan their own families. The pope has to listen to what women want, and women all over the world want access to contraception."

Pope Francis called for respect for the sacredness of human life, including that of the unborn, in his address before the UN.

“The common home of all men and women must continue to rise on the foundations of a right understanding of universal fraternity and respect for the sacredness of every human life, of every man and every woman, the poor, the elderly, children, the infirm, the unborn, the unemployed, the abandoned, those considered disposable because they are only considered as part of a statistic,” he said.

The pope also called on world leaders to put “an end as quickly as possible” to “the marketing of human organs and tissues [2].” Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in the organ and tissues of aborted babies was recently brought to light in a series of undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress over the summer.   

In his address before Congress, Pope Francis said [3] the Golden Rule “reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.”

This pope fundamentally underestimates how critical godlessness is to socialists and communists.  He is a fool for getting into bed with them, and for rejecting the fundamentally Christian nature of free market capitalism, in which the individual reaps what he sows.

The pope is, unfortunately, a creature of politics, and the politics of the church dictate that the interests of South America and Africa be advanced at the expense of the USA and Europe.  Hence, we have an absurd pope who promotes global wealth redistribution to enrich and empower the governments of Sodom and Gomorrah, even as he admonishes Sodom and Gomorrah for its inherent lack of humanity.
