New York Times Baffled by Massive Rise in Murder Rate it Caused
It's De Blasio Time

Let's see.

Radical leftist pro-crime mayor who decided to wage war on cops. Radical leftist pro-crime president who decided to wage war on cops. Radical leftist pro-crime media which decided to wage war on cops.

Now murders are mysteriously rising for reasons they can't explain. It must be Global Warming. Or car insurance rates. Or maybe squirrels. I bet it's the squirrels causing all the murders.

Now let's run another #BlackLivesMatter puff piece and more pro-crime propaganda about freeing drug dealers.

Cities across the nation are seeing a startling rise in murders after years of declines, and few places have witnessed a shift as precipitous as this city. With the summer not yet over, 104 people have been killed this year — after 86 homicides in all of 2014.

More than 30 other cities have also reported increases in violence from a year ago. In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014.

Baltimore? Not like anything happened there that might have helped accelerate the murder rate. Space to destroy? Doesn't ring a bell. It's some kind of mystery put down to disparate factors.

"Experts say disparate factors are at play in different cities, though no one is claiming to know for sure why murder rates are climbing."

Disparate factors that all add up to a common pattern. Obviously it can't be the pro-crime policies or the war on cops. There's no way that  could lead to rising murder rates in Democratic cities.

"Rivalries among organized street gangs, often over drug turf, and the availability of guns are cited as major factors in some cities"

If only we had some sort of effective program for stopping gang members from carrying around guns to shoot each other with. I believe it was called Stop and Frisk. De Blasio trashed it to the loud cheers of the New York Times which was denouncing it.

But disparate factors. Right?

Yet with at least 35 of the nation’s cities reporting increases in murders, violent crimes or both, according to a recent survey, the spikes are raising alarm among urban police chiefs. The uptick prompted an urgent summit meeting in August of more than 70 officials from some of the nation’s largest cities. A Justice Department initiative is scheduled to address the rising homicide rates as part of a conference in September.

A DOJ conference on a problem that Eric Holder caused? What's next... holding a conference with drug dealers to discuss the drug problem?

Among some experts and rank-and-file officers, the notion that less aggressive policing has emboldened criminals — known as the “Ferguson effect” in some circles — is a popular theory for the uptick in violence.

“The equilibrium has changed between police and offenders,” said Alfred Blumstein, a professor and a criminologist at Heinz College, Carnegie Mellon University.

And the New York Times which played a major role in that shift will continue lying about it and covering it up.

In Milwaukee, most of the victims and the suspects in their killings are black men under 30

But black lives only matter when white cops take them.

Chief Flynn said that his officers were responding to crimes as they always have, but that they were making fewer traffic stops and conducting fewer field interviews, a fact he attributed to “free-floating anxiety” among officers around the nation.

Which could in no way help explain rising crime rates. Here's what I wrote back in 2013.

If you miss that classic New York, there's good news because Bill de Blasio is bringing it back.

The muggers are coming back. The squeegee men are coming back. The crazy people randomly stabbing you on the subway, the gangs shooting each other over turf, the race rioters marching through neighborhoods and shouting, "Whose streets, our streets"-- they're all coming back.

Because the polls have spoken. And it's De Blasio time now.

No more fascist cops hassling "innocent" people. Bill de Blasio won't put up with any of that. De Blasio will put the cops in their place, inside a Dunkin Donuts and away from people. They'll still get paid. They're in a union. They just won't lift a finger to help you because they'll have more special monitors and civilian complaint review boards on their necks than they can handle.

And next time one of the innocent victims of Stop and Frisk is pounding your face into the sidewalk while digging through your pockets with the other, wave to the pair of beat cops sitting in the window of the coffee shop. And they'll wave back without getting up. Because you voted for this. And you're getting what you deserve.

Didn't take very long, did it? It's Obama Time. It's De Blasio Time. It's Crime Time.
