De Blasio Vows NYC Will Never Go Back to "Bad Old Days"

Sure there were more murders already this year than last year. And Times Square is once again an adult district. And homeless vagrants are everywhere. And the police are too afraid of a pro-crime Democrat in City Hall to do anything about it... but we'll never go back to the bad old days.

Take it from the man who is taking New York City back to the bad old days.

"I think we should be careful about anyone who likes to talk about the old days in this town," he said. "The bad old days are gone. I think we have to be very blunt about this—that is the cheapest analysis that one could offer."

    "Ten seconds," Lehrer warned.

"It's ridiculous," he spat as the music grew more forceful. "We're never going back to the bad old days."

Never! If you doubt that, you've been brainwashed by hyperbolic ideological axes! Or something.

"These concerns have been overblown by hyperbolic pundits and right-wing politicians with an ideological axe to grind. Some are in a rush to convince people that the city is on the slippery slope back to the "bad old days."

The bad old days when De Blasio's old boss, David Dinkins was in charge. So despite adopting even worse versions of the pro-crime policies from the bad old days and seeing the same results... Bill de Blasio would like to convince us that the two have nothing to do with one another.

And if you disagree, you're probably a right wing axe or a hyperbolic hyperbola.

Listen to the administration. This is the safest summer in New York City history. It's so safe that you can walk outdoors without fear. And then run for it.

One man died and two other people were clinging to life after weekend shootings in Brooklyn, police said.

He was one of nine people wounded in five shootings that rocked Brooklyn during a bloody weekend, police said.

It's so safe that it's scary.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams was among those speaking out Monday against the rash of shootings that took place over the weekend.

“Our children deserve to live; our adults deserve to live. All lives matter,” Adams said during a news conference.

Adams placed a casket outside Brooklyn Borough Hall to emphasize the devastating impact of gun violence.

There were 10 shooting incidents across New York City this weekend that left 22 injured. Overall, there were 18 shooting incidents for the week of July 27-Aug. 2, with 33 victims.

This summer is just the best summer in the city ever.

After the murder, police say Dawn McIntosh, 46, of Long Island City, enlisted the help of her son and daughter to carry Sh-Ron McWhorter’s body to a car. He was too heavy, so McIntosh tried to burn the victim’s body to mask the crime. The mom was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.

Firefighters doused the blaze, but the 43-year-old Brooklyn man couldn’t be saved. Police identified McWhorter by the “Sugar Sha” tattoo on his left arm, sources said.

“She shoots him twice,” Boyce said. “She put lighter fluid on him and then started the fire.”

But don't get the wrong idea about New York City. This is the safest possible place to vacation.

Okay so maybe we've got a little bit of a crime wave. But we've got Hookah lounges...

New York City police say an overnight shooting at a hookah lounge has left one person dead and three others injured.

Police responded to Ali's Roti Shop in Brooklyn after receiving a 911 call of multiple people shot there shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

A 27-year-old man who was shot in the head and torso was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A 25-year-old man was found shot in the right foot, and a 25-year-old woman had gunshot wounds to the torso. A 28-year-old man was grazed in the head by a bullet.

Police say they're all listed in stable condition at a hospital.

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the shooting.

    No arrests have been made.

Okay, never mind. You're probably one of those hyperbolic right wingers who gets upset over a few little shootings anyway.

Yessiree = if someone talks about the "good old days" get the swat teams and shoot.  But, if someone talks about blowing up churches or synagogues while praising allah or shooting cops, don't worry.

Mayor Di Blasio = Mayor Dinkins in whiteface.
