Trump's fan club always harps on his accomplishments.  I like Carson's better.

Who is Trump's "fan club," if you don't mind me asking.
Trump has created a cult and looks more and more like Hitler every day.

I have more experience around neurosurgeons than anyone would want to ever have.  They are very good people.  They are very measured people.  They are very focused people.  They are people who can take charge of one situation at a time.  They are not people who can juggle 10000 plates at one time.

A retired  family friend was one of the most respected neurosurgeon in the NW.  A brilliant man and one of the nicest people I've ever met, but he does fit your generic description of doctors in that field.

So why do you bring it up?

Because the medical field is not necessarily outside of government monies and influence, which contradicts a part of what the poster stated.

I thought that was obvious.  Next time I guess I won't bring up facts, since they seem to frighten you.

Because I asked a question, I'm taking things personally?  You seem a bit thin-skinned to me.

Looking back at the thread to me it is nothing but a typical failure of interconnect communications.  I hope you will accept this explanation.

You don't like and won't vote for Trump so you relentlessly deride both the candidate and his supporters   Fair enough.

If your goal is to change hearts and minds, tell us who you support with the same passion. Why not make the case for him or her instead of solely a case against Trump?

I'd actually like to see a little less passion and a lot more rationality.

All I want is a Republican...not a rat plant.  I'll be happy with anyone but Trump.  Even Cruz has grown on me.
1. Rubio
2. Walker
3. Jindal
4. Kasich
5. Perry
6. Huckabee
7. Santorum
8. Paul
...
Even Jimmy McMillan made the list at #104

Dr. Carson comes across as brilliant yet reserved, a "saver of lives".
Yet, I don't see him as having the requisite "stuff" to serve as a president in time of war (which we are in, whether we acknowledge it or not).

Could a doctor, whose former career was based around the belief to "first, do no harm" be willing to order attacks that could kill thousands, millions?

I just don't see this in him.
I could be wrong.

On the other hand, I wonder if Trump is too brash and self-centered to be able to weigh and choose between strategic advice offered by his aides. He is almost the polar opposite of Dr. Carson in temperment. Could he "grow to the office", or would his administration be much bluster with little shine?

I just don't know.
Having said this, I could vote for either of them in the general election.

Those are my top five as well.  (Just not in the same order)

Any of them would be good as nominee, in my view.

The TV show "The League" has a character who uses the term "eskimo brothers" to refer to two people who have share a particular experience.  There should be some term for people who have the same top 5 candidates.

Hey!  I hope one or two of your guys win.   :patriot:

And while we wait for Rush and you and who knows else to tie themselves in knots, the friggin country I love is being DESTROYED.  And the best you can do is mock and deride those of us who are freakin sick of being the fall guys for a bunch of traitorous thieves, racketeers, and slicker than sh*t carnival weasels.

What is it you do not get?  Move to a place you like better and leave the rest of us alone.
