GOP Power Brokers Prepare Plan To Force Trump To Swear Allegiance To Republican Party
Posted on August 25, 2015 by DCWhispers

When this story first surfaced 24-hours earlier some declared it had to be a joke.

Now Fox News has confirmed it.

Republican Party leaders in two critical GOP primary states are preparing to have candidates “pledge” their loyalty to the party or face the very real possibility of not being on the state’s primary ballot meaning if Donald Trump were still the front runner early next year, voters wouldn’t even see his name on the primary ballot!

“Anybody who wants to seek the Republican nomination should have to commit to supporting the ultimate Republican nominee.”

So said Virginia’s former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. It should be noted that Cuccinelli hosted a fundraising event in 2013 in which Jeb Bush was the “special guest.” Since that time Bush has become increasingly cooperative with Virginia’s GOP leadership.

Cuccinelli is said to be actively promoting the idea to other state GOP leaders and is said to have already garnered support from the South Carolina Republican leadership, the intent of which appears to be to paint Mr. Trump into an electoral corner that would force the current Republican front runner to sign an oath of support for whomever the eventual Republican nominee might be and not run as a 3rd party candidate.

Donald Trump has yet to respond to the GOP power play, but given his penchant for speaking out that response is likely to come sooner rather than later.
