Clinton Fundraiser Governor McAuliffe Furious After Assembly Appoints Black Judge

McAuliffe and his deranged Democrats are taking Virginia to a new low.

Corrupt Clinton fundraiser, scandalmonger and Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe is raging mad after the Virginia Assembly appointed Judge Rossie D. Alston, Jr to the Virginia Supreme Court.

Judge Rossie D. Alston, Jr, an African-American justice, became famous for some of his uniquely humane verdicts.

Alston, 50, became a Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court judge in 1998 and was appointed to the circuit court in 2001. In those years, he has presided over several high-profile cases, including the trial of Kevin Kelly, who left his 21-month-old daughter in the family's sweltering van, where she died. In that case, the jury recommended Kelly spend a year in jail, but Alston handed down a unique sentence, ordering Kelly to spend one day in jail for the next seven years and run an annual blood drive in his daughter's name.

"That was a difficult case for me on many levels," Alston said this week. "It was compelling from the jurisprudence standpoint. But it was more compelling from a human standpoint."

In that case, Alston said, he did what he has done in many other cases: prayed.

"I'm not ashamed to say it," Alston said. "There is not a day that goes by that I don't say a prayer about some case I'm doing."

When Alston recently sentenced Donald A. Brew for a murder committed 38 years ago, he told the defendant, "Any judgment I may render today is a distant second to the judgment that God will ultimately have for you. . . . I can't imagine the tortured spirit that must haunt your existence every day of your life."

Governor, Terry McAuliffe, who was involved in numerous scandals dating back to the Clinton years, is however furious because Judge Alston's appointment displaces his pal, Jane Marum Roush.

Judge Marum Roush had coldbloodedly excluded a key piece of evidence during the trail of an accomplice of the D.C. sniper. Her actions there made it clear that she is unqualified for any judicial position.

A judge refused to let jurors hearing the case against teen-age sniper suspect Lee Boyd Malvo listen to a gut-wrenching tape of an Arlington man wailing to a 911 dispatcher that his wife had just been shot.

"She's been shot in the head," a frantic William Franklin cries into a phone in the parking lot of a Home Depot, where his wife, FBI analyst Linda Franklin, lay dead.

"If there is anything that shows the atrociousness of this crime, it's that 911 call," Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Robert F. Horan Jr. contended.

After sending the jury out of the room so she could hear the tape, Fairfax County Circuit Judge Jane Marum Roush ruled that whatever informational value the tape had for prosecutors was overshadowed by its "prejudicial effect."

It's not surprising that Judge Roush would take the side of Lee Boyd Malvo over one of his victims. Or that the slimy McAuliffe would attempt to subvert procedure by wedging her in as a recess appointment while hoping that the Virginia Assembly would let him get away with it. And now he's freaking out because the General Assembly is going with Judge Alston over the disgraceful Jane Marum Roush.

Unable to make any kind of rational argument, McAuliffe's slimy allies are crying sexism.

"It is no surprise that Republicans in the General Assembly would politicize this process, but it’s a tragedy that it will cost Virginia the service of a qualified female Supreme Court Justice," the governor’s spokesman Brian Coy said.

The Virginia Democratic Party said Republicans’ rejection of the female justice in favor of Alston, who is African American, is part of a pattern of “outside the mainstream” behavior.

“Given their history of respect and inclusion toward Virginia women, it is tough to think of a reason the party of transvaginal ultrasounds, banning birth control and fighting equal pay for equal work would fire a female justice in favor of a male pick,” party spokeswoman Morgan Finklestein said.

If the Republicans are sexist for rejecting a female judge, then Morgan and McAuliffe must be racists for rejecting Alston. Either that or they're pathetic disgusting liars.

A few years ago, the Virginia General Assembly backed Elizabeth A. McClanahan as a Supreme Court Justice, did it suddenly turn sexist? For that matter the Democrats are insisting that the Republicans have supported Roush in the past.

So did they just discover that she's a woman?

The Democratic Party's desperate identity politics have become a joke. And McAuliffe and his deranged Democrats are taking Virginia to a new low.

Morgan Finkelstein, who looks to be around 12, got a job as the Press Secretary for the Virginia Democratic Party, after working in various small time gigs for the Obama campaign, and acts like 12 on Twitter.

Here's a sample of what the Virginia Democratic Party has been reduced to now.

The Virginia Democratic Party... it's not just a bunch of crooks, liars, racists and thieves.. it's also somebody's well-connected kid playing press secretary/twitter troll.
