Washington Post: Opposing Obama's Iran Nuke Deal is... Racist

Opposing Obama on anything is racist.

Opposing Obama on anything is racist. I mean why would you possibly not share his opinion unless you're a racist?

Sure you say that you don't want government health care, higher energy bills and geting nuked by Iran... but that's because you're a racist. Just admit it. You don't want to pay more for health insurance or get nuked by Iran because you're a huge racist.

In the Washington Post, Colbert King, who has made a specialty of arguing that any and all opposition to Obama is racist, is back to making that same argument about the Iran deal. Accompanied with a warning.

King's title is "How Israel may be damaging the alliance between blacks and Jews". He starts off with the now infamous tweet from Judy Moses, “Do u know what Obama Coffee is? Black and weak.”

Colbert King describes Moses as "wife of Israeli interior minister and vice prime minister Silvan Shalom" and "a well-known Israeli radio and television personality".

Here's what she actually is, Teresa Heinz Kerry.

She's a wealthy socialite and the daughter of a wealthy publishing family. Her husband largely owes his position to her money. Like Teresa Heinz Kerry, she says shocking things that no one takes seriously. The media tends not to quote Teresa Heinz Kerry because she goes around doing things like telling hurricane relief workers to take it easy on the clothes, "Clothing is wonderful, but let them go naked for a while, at least the kids."

So the media doesn't quote Teresa Heinz Kerry for the obvious reason that she embarrasses their side. They blew up Judy Moses' Tweet for the equally obvious reason that she embarrasses Israel. Even though Israel isn't responsible for a socialite saying things on Twitter.

Joe Biden and Harry Reid have said far more racially offensive things, but they get a pass even though unlike Judy Moses, they're actual political leaders.

But Colbert King expects us to brush aside the racial implications of Harry Reid calling Obama "a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect" or Biden calling Obama the "first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy" or Bill Clinton talking about how Obama should have been fetching him coffee.

In no way does that represent some sort of bigger problem.

But the socialite wife of a politician who is already considered a joke, tweeting something offensive is an indictment of Israel.

This is the double standard on racism that liberals play with all the time.

Colbert King's thesis is that "Vilifying the president of the United States with slurs and insults, however, is out of bounds." Who is it out of bounds for? Was it out of bounds when Bush was in office? It certainly wasn't.

Is it one-sided? It most certainly is not. King just chooses not to document any of the slurs and attacks aimed by his party at Netanyahu and Israel. Instead there's a premise that opposition is bigotry.

In an interview with USA Today columnist DeWayne Wickham, Clyburn called Netanyahu’s White House end run “a real in-your-face slap at the president, and black folks know it. . . . [Netanyahu] wouldn’t have done it to any other president.” Pressed as to why Netanyahu would disrespect Obama, Clyburn responded, “You know why.”

Should it come to a search for 40 Democratic votes to join the House’s 247 Republicans in voting to override a possible Obama veto of legislation blocking an Iranian deal, don’t look for help from the Congressional Black Caucus. Hostility to the current Israeli leadership is real, and not just among caucus members. Many of their African American constituents are quietly seething, too.

Clyburn’s “and black folks know it” speaks volumes.

It does, but more about Clyburn and Colbert than Netanyahu.
