While his constituents were going to jail to protest the Iran deal, Schumer instead was courting an obnoxious Obama supporter who backs the Iran deal.

How in touch is Senator Schumer with his constituents?
Two days ago a number of Jewish protesters, most of them elderly, were arrested while protesting the nuclear deal with Iran and calling on Schumer to do the right thing.
And Schumer ignored them. Instead his Twitter account showed him smirking side by side with champion smirker and opponent of Israel, Jon Stewart.
The contrast is unfortunately quite striking.
While his constituents were going to jail to protest the Iran deal, Schumer instead was courting an obnoxious Obama supporter who backs the Iran deal. While his constituents expect him to support Israel, he was instead hanging out with a critic of Israel.
Anyone expecting anything else was bound to be disappointed.
While men and women were lying down on the sidewalk in front of his office and warning about genocide, the smug senator was pining for bagels.
