Tea Party sours on Donald Trump
« on: July 19, 2015, 08:16:48 pm »
Quote
Even before Donald Trump found himself on defense for disparaging Sen. John McCain's military service, Sal Russo wasn't too impressed with the real estate mogul's presidential prospects.

Russo knows a thing or two about populist uprisings and anti-establishment candidates. The former Reaganite spent eight weeks advising billionaire Ross Perot's third party campaign in 1992. In 2002, he consulted for a conservative challenger to moderate Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan in California's Republican gubernatorial primary (his candidate won the nomination). A few years later, Russo founded Tea Party Express, a group he still runs....

....Russo's verdict: The frustration with Washington and the political establishment that Trump has tapped into with his unorthodox, blunt style is very real and shouldn't be dismissed. Trump has risen in part by taking a hard line on illegal immigration. But the New Yorker's comments have been interpreted by some as broadly anti-immigrant, and Russo said that Trump's message lacks the substantive seriousness and positive, uplifting vision required to turn anti-establishment agitators, like President Ronald Reagan, into winners at the ballot box....

Russo makes money by fundraising. I am on his mail list, and continually get his solicitations, from various campaigns and entities.

He is probably down on Trump, because he has no way to make money on Trump.

And there is no such thing as the Tea Party.
Technically accurate, however there were and continue to be certain "major" entities calling themselves "Tea Party" and "Tea Party Express" is one of those.

Russo uses a lot of entity names, on behalf of various candidate fundraising engagements.

Political fundraising BUSINESS typically contract to raise funds, earning one commission, and then to place adds with the net money raised, earning another commission.

Russo has been around the racecourse many times. He'll gladly distance himself from Trump, to remain eligible with the rest of the candidates.

Russo, Matt Kerbe, Freedom Workd, Jenny Beth Martin, Tea party Express, Club for Growth all hijacked the Tea Party movement for financial gain plus 1000 TP groups are in this scam. Anyone that contributes to these groups get what they deserve, Nothing. Donate directly to the candidate of your choice BUT these groups are all financial scams and operatives of the RINOGOP.

Who or what is this mysterious RINOGOP?  Is it an organization one can join or is it invitation only?

Pathetic that they would try to tie Trump to the Tea Party.   I thought the Tea Party was 'dead'?

May as well say the Whigs have tired of him too.

I think it is Karl Rove's branch of the Illuminati.

I was thinking something similar. Sal Russo has been on the Tea Party's **** list for several years.

I remember the one year a local Tea Party organization held a Tax Day rally. Sal Russo's Tea Party Express came in on his big bus and basically undermined the candidate they were supporting.

Deliberately misleading headline. The headline implies that Trump was a Tea Party candidate, and now they are turning on him.

Trump has never been a Tea Party endorsed candidate in the first place.

Just a hit piece on Trump implying that he is losing support from all sides.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

They realize that it's the Conservative talk radio and internet forums that are cheering or headlining Donald Trump because he's the only person out there that's got the $$$ and power to speak his mind unfiltered.  In language that everyman can understand.  He's saying what everybody on the Right is thinking.

You're right....if they can imply that the Tea Party is abandoning him successfully, they hope to see him fade.

Few people speak without filters.  Most of them are sociopaths.

Everyone in the agitated mob understands what the leader is saying...He's saying what ever they want to hear.  You like the message...do you like the messenger?...cause he is the one people will vote for and you will put your name on the line for.
